日本最後の清流・四万十川が流れる高知県四万十市。日本の原風景を色濃く残すこの地の美しい情景を余すところなく堪能できる、心温まるヒューマン・ストーリー。地元出身監督と高知出身俳優陣が郷土愛をもとに集結、地域住民全体の完全バックアップで完成! ――高校時代、所属する陸上部駅伝競技の主要メンバーだった晃、タケシ、ヤス、シュンの仲良し4人組は、常にまわりから一目置かれる存在だった。しかし、卒業後は努力を怠り、パッとしない日々。気が付けば40歳が目前に迫ってきていた。役者として成功する夢を諦め帰郷した晃を迎え、行きつけの居酒屋で、かつてのように語らう4人。あらためて思い返すと、駅伝以外に何かをやり遂げた経験がない。いつしか人生全般、逃げ癖がついていた。口をついで出た言葉は、俺たち昔は輝いていたな――。 意気消沈するなか、思いついたのが、元マネージャーに誘われていたロードレースへの参加だった。「いい所見せて、俺たちはまだ終わってないって証明しようや」かくしてアラフォー4人の、挑戦が始まった。あらうんど四万十ロケ地マップ封入。
