Winter Inside The Dream. Dream Outside The Window

[Machine Translation] This is the third mini-album by singer/songwriter Enka Ohno (the name was changed from "Madoka Ohno" in the previous album). Following on from the previous album, the pop but dim melodies ride on a simple folk-rock ensemble centered on acoustic instruments, weaving an emotional, melancholy, and warm sentiment reminiscent of Julie Doiron and Jeri Southern, both of whom she admires. Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Kanji Nakao, a former member of Compostela, Strada, NRQ, and NEWDAY, recorded this piece on his personal 4-track open-reel tape (the first time in 10 years since Tsunekichi Suzuki's "Zeigo"). The rough, warm texture of the recordings is very appealing to the ear. He also played clarinet on five tracks and drums on three tracks. Yuuki Yoshida, also of NRQ, plays erhu and mandolin; Koji Takeuchi, who puts the mind of discord hardcore into classical pieces under the name "Calf's Claw", plays bass; Nikkyo Sa of Your Last Chicken plays cello and violin; and Hashitani of Mariahat plays guitar.

シンガー・ソングライター 大野円雅 による3枚目のミニ・アルバム(前作までの「大野まどか」から表記を一新)。前作に続き、アコースティック楽器を中心に据えたシンプルでフォーク・ロック的なアンサンブルの上に、ポップだがほの暗いメロディーが乗り、彼女が敬愛するJulie Doiron や Jeri Southern も匂わせる、エモーショナルで物憂く暖かい情緒を紡ぎ出している。元コンポステラ、現ストラーダ、 NRQ や NEWDAY のメンバーでもあるサクソフォニスト/マルチプレーヤー中尾勘二が私物の4トラックオープンリールで録音(鈴木常吉「ぜいご」以来10年振り)。ざらついた暖かな質感が耳を惹く。氏は演奏者としても5曲でクラリネットを担当、3曲でドラムを演奏。他、同じくNRQの吉田悠樹が二胡とマンドリン、「ふくらはぎばたけ」名義でディスコード・ハードコアのマインドをクラシカルな小曲に込める竹内公二がベース、Your Last Chicken の日南京佐がチェロとヴァイオリン、マリアハト の柱谷がギターで参加。
