世界最大編成のスタジオ録音のためのオーケストラ"101ストリングス・オーケストラ"のオリジナル復刻シリーズ第二弾!! タンゴは19世紀後半にアルゼンチンの首都ブエノスアイレス近郊、ボカ地区で生まれた民族音楽。リズムは一般的に4分の2拍子でアルゼンチン・タンゴを意味する。20世紀にヨーロッパ人好みの演奏スタイルに変化し、それらを区別してコンチネンタル・タンゴと呼ばれるようになった。本作は1969年に米国で発売されたLPレコード(アルゼンチン・タンゴも収録)にボーナストラック2曲を加えてCD化。最新リマスター。日本語解説書き下ろし。解説: 黒田晃章。
