[Machine Translation] Tokyo-based progressive hard rock band Marge Litch has finally reissued their first album "Fantasien" released in 1991, remastered and with additional bonus tracks! The original re-recorded version of the album was released in 1998 (also released by Musea in France at that time). It is a concept album that develops according to the original story "FANTASIEN story", and the dramatic composition of the songs makes it an album that can be called a pioneer of symphonic metal. Although more than half of the songs on this album are long, each member's performance is backed up by their technique, and their ability to make you listen to the songs all at once is one of the best. The vocals, which are sometimes sung like an opera singer, are superb, and they radiate a one-of-a-kind presence. The bonus track "Holy Tonight" is a previously unreleased studio track with a profound yet catchy melody. This is a masterpiece that should be handed down to the next generation as an archive of Japanese hard rock music.

東京を拠点に活動していたプログレッシヴ・ハードロック・バンドMarge Litch。1991年にリリースされた1stアルバム『Fantasien』が、リマスターされボーナス・トラックを追加収録し遂に再発! 1998年にリ・レコーディング・ヴァージョンがリリースされていた作品 (当時フランスのMuseaからもリリースあり)のオリジナル盤が本作。「FANTASIEN story」というオリジナル・ストーリーに沿って展開されるコンセプト・アルバムで、ドラマティックな構成で展開される楽曲は、シンフォニック・メタルの先駆けともいうべきアルバムに仕上がっている。収録曲の半数以上が長尺曲ながら、各メンバーのテクニックに裏打ちされた演奏力が凄まじく、一気に聴かせてしまう手腕は流石の一言。時にオペラ歌手のように歌い上げるヴォーカルは絶品で、唯一無二の存在感を放つ。またボーナスト・ラックの「Holy Tonight」はスタジオ録音の未発表曲で、重厚ながらもメロディがキャッチ―なナンバー。ジャパニーズ・ハードロックのアーカイヴとして語り継がれるべき傑作。
