After writing a letter to Inoko, Ushimatsu unexpectedly gets a chance to meet him...

島崎藤村、不朽の名作「破戒」を60年ぶりに映画化! 主演・丑松役は間宮祥太朗、相手役に石井杏奈。監督は『発熱天使』(高崎映画祭招待作品) 『みみをすます』(教育映画祭最優秀賞・文部科学大臣賞)の前田和男。――瀬川丑松(間宮祥太朗)は、自分が被差別部落出身ということを隠して、地元を離れ、ある小学校の教員として奉職する。彼は、その出自を隠し通すよう、亡くなった父からの強い戒めを受けていた。彼は生徒に慕われる良い教師だったが、出自を隠していることに悩み、また、差別の現状を体験することで心を乱しつつも、下宿先の士族出身の女性・志保(石井杏奈)との恋に心を焦がしていた。友人の同僚教師・銀之助(矢本悠馬)の支えはあったが、学校では丑松の出自についての疑念も抱かれ始め、丑松の立場は危ういものになっていく。苦しみのなか丑松は、被差別部落出身の思想家・猪子蓮太郎(眞島秀和)に傾倒していく。猪子宛に手紙を書いたところ、思いがけず猪子と対面する機会を得るが・・・。
