Here it is, a DVD collection worthy of the great Lee Van Cleef. Housed in this beautifully presented box are 3 top tier westerns. First off is the superb THE BIG GUNDOWN, now fans are divided on this shortened version, personally I like it, the longer version is very good, and although shorter this version still plays nicely. DEATH RIDES A HORSE is a pure masterclass in Italian western cinema. THE GRAND DUEL although presented here only with Italian dialogue is often overlooked but it contains another excellent Van Cleef performance. Presentation on all 3 discs is superb, each contains excellent poster galleries for their respective films, and THE BIG GUNDOWN and DEATH RIDES A HORSE feature their original theatrical trailers. There are liner notes contained on the discs and a nice little booklet, these are all in Japanese, but the effort made here is exemplary.
