全国のファンを圧倒した劇場アニメ大作が、お求めやすいスペシャルプライスで登場! ハリウッドをもうならせる日本アニメ界実力派スタッフが、全世界に向けて贈る一大エンターテインメント!! 人を想う気持ちは、世界を変えることが出来るのか。少女と異世界の少年の、切ない出逢いを描くロマンチックアドベンチャー! 東京に暮らす神崎ひとみはごく普通の高校生だったが、生きる意味を見失い自分なんて消えてしまえば良いと思っていた。そんな彼女の前に現れた謎の男が、どことも知れない異世界へひとみを跳ばしてしまう。そこはガイア――ヒトと獣人が共存し、剣と魔法が支配する、血と暴力に彩られた神話的な世界。巨大な鎧を巡 る熾烈な闘いに巻き込まれ、自分の国を滅ぼされた若き王バァンとの出会いが彼女の運命を大きく変えていく。 古よりガイアに存在する、巨大な鎧 ――その名はエスカフローネ。ひとみが現れるまでは石像となって眠りについていた。その強力な力は古代ガイア界を滅ぼしたと言われるが、真の力はだれにも 分かっていない。竜族という数少ない種族の乗り手と、幻の月から来た"翼の神"の間に共鳴がなければ命が宿らないという。それゆえ人々からは"竜の鎧"と 呼ばれている。また、この世界に伝わる歌によると、「翼の神は竜の鎧を蘇らし、ガイアを新たな世界へと導く・・・」とあるが、その続きには、「竜の鎧は地 上の全てを焼き払い、消し去る」ともあるという――。果たして、ガイアの命運は? ひとみとバァンの想いは、世界を救う事が出来るのか? ジャケットイラストは、結城信輝の劇場用ポスターイラストを使用。
