The music in Dawn of Mana is really wonderful, from the soft and gentle opening of the game (the start screen) to the screaming guitars in 'Irwin on Reflection'. Though the mix of music is good for the game, there are some tracks that aren't memorable and personally I found most of the better tracks on Disc 4. However it's not to be said that this album doesn't carry it's own weight, as the tracks range from light and upbeat to dark and mellow sounds. It is a good buy for fans of the 'Mana' series!

Customer Reviews
Overall, the music in this soundtrack is very good. There are some orchestral tracks (the track that plays on the official website is a masterpiece - nearly worth it on it's own) , and some synthesized really well into an orchestral-esque presentation. Notably missing is a vocal track... it seems like Dawn of Mana is not following the trend of at least one vocal ending/moment in the game this time around. It has some great darker, more battlistic music. (lot more whaling guitars this time around) From a mana fan perspective, the soundtrack has many tracks, particularly in the second disk, that seem less thoughtful than previous titles in the series. Many tracks just move things along, and that's not why the music in the mana world is famous. The mana mood is pretty well intact, however, and the remixes of songs from previous games, such as Flammie, The Mana Beast fight, and the child sprite theme... all hark to the days we love. I wanted more similarities in the traveling department to our US predecessor myself, but overall I'm pretty happy. Although it leaves a little to be desired, it is filled with some beautiful music and is well worth putting the money out for.
