サクラウタ / Makimiki

津軽三味線ユニット・吉田兄弟として現代の邦楽界をリードしてきた吉田良一郎初プロデュース作品。「現代の音楽に耳慣れた多くの人々にとっては、今までの民謡は馴染まないかも知れない。しかし民謡を今までにない解釈で聞きやすくし、世界中の音楽と融合させ新たに構築すれば、若い世代を初めとする幅広い世代に受け入れて貰える新しい民謡が作れるのでは」と言うアイデアから、Makimikiの構想が始まった。MakiとMikiが共に修行時代から慣れ親しんできた北海道/東北の民謡を大胆にアレンジし、ポップスのように構成した新しい民謡を収録。
