Although the acting is not spectacular (after watching The Phantom of the Opera in the theatre, no one's acting will appear spectacular, trust me) the plot and themes involved are really good! I shan't comment on that so as to not spoil it for anyone, but trust me, this DVD is worth all the money. Kind of regretting not getting the Limited Edition set though... I think the best part for me was how the beginning and the ending tied up so nicely together, like a present finished with a bow. Highly recommended!
eventhough the movie phase can be considered slow, but i really like this movie!! a lot!! maybe it is because of yazawa ai, since i am a huge fan of her works. great casting, storyline, and to me, what attracks me the most is how they create the set especially at the old mansion. not to forget the costume and accessories worn by the cast and the song, "the cape of storms" by hyde is just perfect!! great movie!!
