Plot: Keisuke Tada is a general problem-solver who takes random jobs such as pet care, transportation service for kids to go to cram schools, cleaning up a barn, and so on for payment at Mahoro city in Tokyo. One day, a freak coincidence causes him to be reunited with his former classmate Haruhiko Gyoten and to live and work with this weird man. . .

三浦しをんの直木賞受賞作、「まほろ駅前多田便利軒」が遂に映画化!! 累計発行部数は65万部を突破し、"まほろ駅前シリーズ"として外伝・続編・漫画と共に今もなお男女問わず愛され続ける人気作。主演は人気、実力共にトップを走る瑛太と松田龍平。監督は『ゲルマニウムの夜』『ケンタとジュンとカヨちゃんの国』の、独特の人間描写で高い評価を得ており、今最も注目を集める新人監督の1人である、大森立嗣。さらに、この映画を盛り上げるのは、人気ロックバンドくるりの岸田繁の音楽。大森監督が企画の段階から音楽=岸田繁を構想していたというだけあって、各シーンごとの雰囲気を絶妙な音楽で盛り上げており、かつその音楽が本作の世界観をよりユニークなものに押し上げている。主題歌はくるりの「キャメル」。また、まほろ市のモデルになったのは、三浦しをんが20年以上住んでいた東京都町田市。ロケは町田市の全面協力のもと、大部分が実際に同市で行われた。――ペットの世話、塾の送迎代行、納屋の整理、そんな仕事のはずだった―。東京郊外のまほろ市で、けっこう真面目に便利屋を営む、しっかり者の多田啓介(瑛太)。そんな多田のもとに、風変わりな同級生、行天春彦(松田龍平)が転がり込んできた。1晩だけのはずが、行天は一向に出て行かず、多田はしぶしぶ便利屋の助手をさせることに。こうして、水と油のような2人の奇妙な共同生活が始まった。多田便利軒を訪れるのは、まほろ市に住むくせ者たちばかりで、なんだかんだと彼らを放っておけない多田と行天は、やっかいごともしぶしぶ請け負っていたが、やがてある事件に巻き込まれていく・・・。ともにバツイチ、三十路の男2人の痛快で、やがて胸に熱く迫る便利屋物語が始まる――。
