Hal is an incredible movie and the limited edition Bluray package is wonderfully done with beautiful box art, digipak, postcards, picture discs. The artwork contains all the motifs used in the film and are wonderful keepsakes for later. The A-3 sized bonus poster is great too. Even before you watch the movie it is great to look over the artwork, read through the booklet with the short another story manga, character profiles, OST CD track listing, interviews, staff Q&A. The movie is only 60 minutes but it packs so much into that hour. The characters are introduced, developed and you become attached to them in that short time. The film explores what it is to be human, to love, to live, to die, the biggest questions we have in life. The character designs are shoujo in style. Kurumi is so cute! This is a movie that must be watched several times to appreciate it properly. Do NOT read any spoilers before you watch it. Watching it fresh the first time is very important. You will get more out of it each time you watch it. The extras are great! There are several short making-of clips which show how the movie was built up from story boards and rough illustrations, various animations are added, composited. The final result is amazing. The cast talk, storyboards, all the extras are excellent. This film should be more widely known. It is a masterpiece and a classic in SF anime. Best anime move of 2013.
