4月放送スタートアニメ 『一週間フレンズ。』 オープニングテーマ!! ミュージカル女優としても活躍する昆夏美が、持ち味である伸びやかで広がりのある歌声で歌い上げている「虹のかけら」。2003年にI WiSHのボーカルとしてデビューし、その後シンガーソングライターとしても爽やかな楽曲を送り出し人気を集める川嶋あいが、昆夏美と『一週間フレンズ。』のために書き下ろしたオリジナル曲。友達との記憶が一週間で消えてしまう少女と、それでも彼女と友達になろうとする少年による、切なさとひたむきさにあふれたストーリー『一週間フレンズ。』にぴったりな、若葉の匂いに包まれるような清涼感のある瑞々しいポップナンバーに仕上がっている。
