この時代に、ここ日本で何を打ち鳴らそうとしているのか。その答えが今作「霹靂」に詰まっている。誰よりも気高い精神性と、誰よりも慈愛に溢れた行動力＝強い人間になりたいと願い続け、それを実践してきた彼らにしか鳴らせない音がここにはある。BRAHMANの音楽と意志はさらに強靭になり、再びここに立つ!!! 全3曲日本語のタイトル名 (全3曲共3/11以前に制作された楽曲)が冠され、歌詞も一語一句すべて日本語。これまでにも日本語曲はあったものの、全曲日本語で統一された作品は初。1曲目「賽の河原(さいのかわら)」は、ブンブンうねる武骨なベース音から一気に加速度が増していき、血が高ぶる熱き掛け合いもさることながら、緩急のダイナミズムに溢れた渾身のオープニング・ナンバー。2曲目「最終章」は哀感に満ちたTOSHI-LOWの叙情的な歌メロが心に迫り、坂道を力強く駆け上がっていくラスト・スパートの緊張感を帯びた展開にも思わず息を飲んでしまう。3曲目「霹靂」は、静かな祈りに似たメロディ・ラインからゆっくり始まり、徐々に希望を掴み取るように輪郭のくっきりした音色を叩きつけてくる、実に印象深い曲調。
