I remember reading somewhere that this single reached number 17 on the Oricon charts - which, I personally felt was a rather unfair reflection of the actual song. Summer Madness is a fast-moving, somewhat bouncy song that accurately portrays the feeling of 'summer' with its tune and lyrics. Although the chorus is repeated quite a few times throughout the song, I did not find it repetitive - on the contrary, I found it fun to sing to. Boku ga tsuki ni inoru yoru is slow and soothing and the vocals are excellent. Lead has very few slow, ballad-ish songs so I was delighted to find this track on the single. ONE has a similar feel to that of BEST OF MY LOVER from Lead's 3rd album. Slower than Summer Madness but still relatively upbeat, the beat makes it easy to follow and I personally love the guitar. To conclude, I feel that it deserves more than just 17th place. This is definitely a good release from Lead.

This single really captured the feeling of Summer in all of the songs. The song that really got to me was Summer Madness. It is a really catchy song that is a little different to other Lead songs, but still the Lead-ish style. The second song is Bokuga Tsukini Inoru Yoru. The music in it makes you feel like you are on a tropical island somewhere in the pacific. The other coupling song ONE is also nice. Itsgot a slower beat to it and still a really great song. SUMMER MADNESS (1st press) came with a DVD showing the making of the promotional video in Saipan. The DVD showed all the different aspects of filming the PV. Lead at the beach, driving in the car, and having fun while they are at it. My favourite part of the DVD was when they dressed the dog up in a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses. Overall this is a great single and even if you are not a Lead fan, I recommend buying this! Especially the 1st press one for the super cool DVD!! Plus, KEITA FURUYA is really suggoii in the DVD!!!
Summer Madness is one funky song and it will never bored me. Nice looking cover with 4 eye-candies.Buy it!
