Gossip are, undoubtedly one of the most exciting new underground J-Rockers Japan has offered the world (and fellow World Music internationalists) for 2006. This outstanding mini album entitled 'obscene' hit the market with rather a quite sense of introduction. And as far as alternative Japanese rock press has shown, this band's coverage has been minor with their first published appearance in Shoxx magazine (Vol. 159) earlier this year. Following this, the band toured cohesively with other supporting acts across the Japanese continent, hopefully creating a storm in their wake. 'obscene' is a marvellously crafted, exceptionally produced recording. A vibrant cascade of aggressive, melodic, hard/dark rock flavours.
