...sadly I had the misconception it would also contain "Throw hope away", because of which I originally ordered the CD. Now don't understand me wrong, "MELANCHOLY" and "grief." are without question worth buying it as well, but since I know this song it feels like a big hole. Maybe CDJapan could put some more information on their products next time..

Customer Reviews
I am so happy to have ordered this item. I had been waiting for a long time after the band decided to rest for a while. And then they reformed and brought a wonderful single and great B-side on top! I can only recommend them! Black:List is LOVE
Black:List formed in 2007 and had only released 3 songs before they disbanded in the same year, when their vocalist and bassist left. Luckily, they gained a new vocalist in early 2008 (Kyotaro from previous band Eight), and have since released this single, Melancholy. The title track is a remake of a song originally done before Black:List's first vocalist left. Because I became familiar with the original version before hearing this, I may be a little biased in saying that the original was better. Not to take anything away from it, I just think Kyotaro has a smaller range with his voice than Black:List's original vocalist did, so the song doesn't feel as affecting. The other song on the single, Grief, is much better, and should be easy to get into for fans of Kyotaro's previous band, Eight. The single was originally distributed only at specific stores in Japan, and included a DVD with the PV for a song called Throw Hope Away. Sadly, this wide-release version lacks the DVD, which is unfortunate since Throw Hope Away was a really great song. Still, this is a great release from a very promising band, and I hope to see more from them in the future
