新たなタッキー伝説のはじまり! 時代を揺るがすスーパー・エンタテインメント・ショー、それが『滝沢歌舞伎』!! 2006年より毎年、新橋演舞場にて行われてきた滝沢秀明座長公演『滝沢演舞城』が、 今年2010年、場所を日生劇場に移して更にグレードアップした『滝沢歌舞伎』として4/4～5/8まで計52公演 (動員数: 6万5千人)が行われた。本公演では初めて滝沢秀明が演出を手掛けたことでも各方面で大きな話題に。歌舞伎をはじめとする日本古来の伝統芸能と滝沢秀明のオリジナリティ溢れる独創 的アイデアが掛け合わされることによって、<和>と<洋>が融合された他の追随を許さない程のエンタテインメント性の高い舞台。二部構成の舞台の第二部では、これまで毎回 第二部で演じてきた 「源義経」ではなく「平将門」を演じることによって、新たな滝沢秀明を感じても らえる内容。 通常盤の特典DVDには、舞台本編の他、特典映像として滝沢歌舞伎の初日打合せから千穐楽ま での約2ヶ月半、滝沢秀明を追い続けたドキュメンタリー映像を収録。座長であり演出家である滝沢秀明がジャニーズJr.の面々とひとつの舞台を作り上げていく様を克明に記録。出演者が全員"男"であることから、例えるならば、まさに"男子校の運動部の夏合宿"。きっと出演者と同様の一体感 を感じてもらえ、「自分もこの場にいたい!」と思わずにはいられない爽快感あふれるドキュメンタ リーとなっている。
