Chikuhodo E-4 Nose ContouringMakeup BrushI use this for other purposes
This brush was made specifically for contouring the nose, but I didn’t like the results when I tried it. Something about the way this is shaped prevents it from performing evenly. The tips create a harsh line, which takes so much longer to blend in. The hair doesn't feel that bad when I feel them with my fingers, but I do feel a bit of scratchiness when I use it on my face. For that reason, I only use this for one-and-done eyeshadow looks. The flat side picks up a lot of product and lays color on the eye beautifully, without having to feel the sharper ends.

T-4 Cheek / Chikuhodo Takumi SeriesMakeup BrushSo Good I Bought A Second!
This brush feels like I’m applying blush with a bunny tail! It’s so soft and springy! It’s fully round, which makes this excellent for buffing. It picks up the right amount of product with pressed products and picks up a ton of powder from baked blushes. It's my favorite size (medium to large after washing and air drying) for blush as well.

Koyudo SOMELL GARDEN BLUEBERRY x WALNUT Highlighting BrushMakeup BrushSmall but Great
This brush is tiny but very useful! The bristles are packed densely in a round shape and after washing the brush, the head is quite wide considering the overall size of the brush. The surface area applies a wider patch of highlighter than is my preference, but this is perfect for packing a concentrated amount of color to one area, like blush. It gives a sheer blush more impact with one application or it can be used as a buffing brush. I prefer to use this for blush rather than highlighting. It's not the softest brush in my collection, but it's still pretty nice.

Z-1 Powder / Chikuhodo Z SeriesMakeup BrushLarge Versatile Brush
I love the fact that this brush work great for sweeping powder onto the face, but it's also fantastic for buffing. The bristles are super soft and fairly dense. It's great for powder foundation, translucent powder, bronzer, and actually blush too! I use this when I have a harder pressed blush as this still manages to pick up the perfect amount to deposit onto my cheeks.

FO-1 Powder / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushFantastic Powder Brush
I have no regrets buying this amazing brush! I love the size and shape, which blossoms after being washed and dried for the first time. It really is as soft (if not softer) than grey squirrel, yet with more resilient bristles. It's like applying powder with a cloud when using this. And I do use it like a finishing brush with translucent powder. This will give a soft, airy, application.

FO-3 Cheek / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushBest Blush Brush
This is the best blush brush in my collection. I love the round shape it takes after being washed for the first time. It is perfect for buffing blush onto the cheeks. It is incredibly soft and the perfect shape for me. I never have to worry about overapplying blush when I use this. I highly recommend it!

FO-5 Eye Shadow / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushLarge Eyeshadow Brush
This is a very large eyeshadow brush. It's great for those one-and-done eyeshadow looks to quickly apply a single shade onto the lids. I've also used this for nose contouring and setting my undereye concealer. However, this brush didn't wow me the way the face brushes in the series have. There's nothing wrong with this brush, per say. It's soft, but the springiness and denseness of the bristles doesn't allow for that same airy feeling the face brushes have. I wish there was a fluffy blending brush in the FO collection, as that would really highlight the unique qualities of silver fox hair. So, this brush is versatile and useful, but not really my preference. Someone else could easily love this, though.

MK-KO Powder Brush w/ BOX / Chikuhodo Makie SeriesMakeup BrushStunning Brush
Although this shape of brush head isn't my preference (it has a flatter side, more oval), it falls in line with the other Chikuhodo Makie brushes. So, I knew what to expect and I am still very happy with my purchase! It makes a great finishing powder brush. It's not very dense, so the application will be sheer. The design is exquisite! It's even more beautiful in person. It's like having a peice of useable art, and for that alone it was already worth getting to me.
