Equinox [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]StyxSound is great!
I totally agree with the other reviewer Jim. Great album, a classic. Early Styx was one hell of a band. Combining different elements of style to produce great progressive rock. I love all their albums. Sound on this great, remastering sounds very good and not too loud or over compressed. Mini LP and inner sleeve is excellent. Listen from start to finish, great music...Styx rocks!

Raised On Radio [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Blu-spec CD2] [Limited Release]JourneyExcellent!
Great Mini LP release, sounds fantastic. This album is an overlooked gem. Being a lot younger in 1986, I didn't like it all that much back when it came out but i think it's an amazing album now. Terrific album with great harmonies and beautifully written pop/rock songs. Some great guitar from Neil Schon too. I think it's up there with the best pop/rock albums of the '80's...not a bad tune on the whole album. The 2 extra live tracks sound fantastic too....really can't beat this Mini LP release, I love it!

Machine Gun Jimi Hendrix The Fillmore East First Show 12/31/1969Jimi HendrixExcellent!
Terrific release of a terrific New Years Eve show at the Fillmore East. Strong and powerful versions of every song. Jimi is fine form! The Band of Gypsys were legit, amazing power trio! Sound quality is Grade A , great job by the Experience Hendrix team and Eddie Kramer. Amazing Mastering job by Bernie Grundman, the sound is dynamic and warm , terrific clarity! Absolutely love this release!

Fly To The Rainbow [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Blu-spec CD] [Limited Release]ScorpionsWow!
Wow, what an album....I was blown away. It's in a class by itself, kinda early metal concept album. Early Scorpions freakin' rocked! You have to check it out and the sound is very good indeed!

Love At First Sting (Deluxe Edition) [w/ DVD, Limited Release] [Blu-spec CD2]ScorpionsAwesome!!
The first album i put in is Love at First Sting , and it sounded amazing right away! Very atmospheric and big open sound with excellent defined bass. Excellent vocals and guitars as well! Their mastered a little loud maybe, but i think that's how you're supposed to listen to the Scorpions. I read a lot of negative reviews on the Steve Hoffman forums , so i was a little skeptical that they might be a little harsh sounding and thin but they don't sound like that at all in my opinion. The sound is right in your face but not harsh or thin sounding at all , big open sound...I think the remastering job is KILLER! Still Loving You gave me goosebumps!! I can't wait to listen to the live '84 companion disc!

Fighting!! [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Thin LizzyKILLER ALBUM!
Wow, this is a such a break out from the previous Nightlife album! This maybe Lizzy's greatest album , it has such a winning sound and attitude....hard hitting hard rock all the way. From the opening Rosalie to Ballad of a Hard man. This album put Lizzy on the map. They nailed it on this album. Killer dual guitar work and songwriting , songs like Suicide rock....Great dual guitar and wah-wah pedal work. Excellent rock ballad Wild One. The extras on disc 2 are a real treat.....US album mix of Rosalie and the BBC Session tracks sound awesome! One of my fave Lizzy releases!! Highly recommended!

1984 [2015 Remastered Edition]Van HalenBest sounding version!
This album completely rocks from beginning to end! The band were on FIRE on this album, i can't believe DLR left after this album. What was he thinking?? Once again this remaster blows away the 2000 HDCD remaster in every way. Way more open sounding and livelier. It's alive! lol

Van Halen 2 <2015 Remastered Edition>Van HalenBest sounding version!
Van Halen II was never my favorite, but it has always been a classic party album. The album starts to pick up for me at Bottom's Up! and never lets up from there. The excellent Spanish Fly and DOA. It's also classic for me as it always brings back memories from back in the day when it first came out. This remaster sounds better than the previous 2000 HDCD remaster. Just like the other 2015 remasters it's more open and livelier sounding.

Presence Deluxe EditionLed ZeppelinBest sounding version!
This remaster is the best sounding I've heard. All these Jimmy Page remasters so far have been excellent. I particularly like the way this one sounds, great clarity, big open warm sound and dynamic. As far as the music is concerned , this is a kinda overlooked Zeppelin album , but it's one great rocking' jam after the next. Listening to this new remaster has given me a new appreciation for this great album. Stand outs are Hots on For Nowhere , Achilles Last Stand and of course Nobody's Fault but Mine. Packaging is excellent , high quality. Excellent job Mr. Page!

Women And Children First <2015 Remastered Edition>Van HalenBest sounding version!
This is also an excellent remaster. Again much better than the 2000 HDCD remaster. Sounds killer I love it. Finally we get Van Halen done right!

Fair Warning <2015 Remastered Edition>Van HalenExcellent remaster!
Just how i remember it on vinyl! This is a much better remaster than the 2000 HDCD release. This 2015 remaster brings back Van Halen the way it should sound. This album is Van Halen's great album and one of the best (maybe/probably the best) hard rock releases of the '80s. A top notch release from start to finish, Sinner's Swing, Unchained and So this Is Love are great jams. If you really wanna rock out, this album will deliver! With this remaster all the dynamics , separation and depth of sound are back just as i remember listening to it on vinyl back in the '80's. I might as well throw away the 2000 discs (as i won't be listening to them anymore). I am loving these new remasters, they got it right this time!

Van Halen [2015 Remastered Edition]Van HalenBest sounding version!
After listening to Diver Down i listened to this next. It also is an excellent sounding remaster. Better than the 2000 HDCD release. Makes the 2000 release sound like crap. Better in every way, not loud or compressed sounding at all. Very dynamic, warm and lively. Finally this album is remastered right! I can't wait to listen to the rest of these remasters!

Diver Down <2015 Remastered Edition>Van HalenBest sounding version!
This version is the best sounding. Beautiful remaster job! After reading some mixed reviews on the internet, i wasn't sure what to expect exactly, but i figured they would be an upgrade since it was stated that these were remastered from the original 1/4" master reels. This was the first disc i listened to since i knew it so well from many nights partying and listening to it on my friends vinyl back in the '80's. Well, it blew me away....it was just like listening to it on vinyl back in the '80's. Maybe better even , drums, guitar , bass and vocals....everything is better. This 2015 remaster easily beats the 2000 HDCD version (that i have on the Japan Mini LP's from last year). Makes the 2000 release sound like crap. This has a much better consistent , separated , livelier pure sound. To my ears they finally remastered this album right. Needless to say, I can't wait to listen to the other 5 albums!

Leftoverture [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Blu-spec CD] [Limited Release]KANSASGreat sound!
I forgot how great a band Kansas was , they jammed! Great keyboard work and songwriting. I agree with the other reviewers , the sound on this release is great. Crystal clear! Mini LP replica is high quality thick cardboard with inner sleeve.

The Cry Of LoveJimi HendrixGreat remaster!
Remastered by Bernie Grundman. Very nice job, it is remastered low and quiet, very warm and clear. I really like the job Bernie Grundman did on this album. I would love to see him do all of Hendrix's studio albums.

Physical Graffiti Deluxe EditionLed ZeppelinWow!
Words can't describe how great this creation is, one of the greatest rock albums ever! I love the sound, it follows in the same pattern as the previous remasters. Warm, vinyl-like, analog sound. As Zep fans we are fortunate that Jimmy Page went back remastered these albums. From the opening chords of Custard Pie it's apparent of the sound quality, and it continues all through the rest of the album. "In the Light" sounds phenomenal , as does Bron-Yr- Aur , Down by the Seaside , Ten Years Gone and Night Flight. Hell, the whole damn thing sounds great. Better than any other previous release, I would say in my opinion. This is a Zeppelin masterpiece, so many great riffs , compositions , studio effects. Jimmy Page is a musical genius. And John Bonham puts on a drumming virtuosity for the ages, putting on a virtual drum lesson to be enjoyed , analyzed and amazed by amateurs and experts alike. I even enjoyed the Companion disc very much on this one, the early version of Sick Again is killer. What a rythym section the mighty Zep could lay down! Packaging is fantastic with a nice photo/credit book and of course the very cool bonus poster! Fantastic release, highly, highly recommended!

Venus And Mars Deluxe Edition [SHM-CD] [Regular Edition]Paul McCartney & WingsNice sounding remaster!
Remastered sound is great, great album by Wings at the height of the band. Many well known songs on this album. If you're a Paul McCartney fan you can't go wrong with this release. It's a trip back in time to the mid-'70's. Bonus disc is alright nothing really remarkable. The official album is all i'll really listen to. Digipack is great, nice three way gatefold with pics of the band from that era.

Wings At The Speed Of Sound Deluxe Edition [SHM-CD] [Regular Edition]Paul McCartney & WingsGreat sounding remaster!
I forgot how good of an album this is, remastered sound is great. Lots of good songs on this album. The first 6 songs are really solid. The rest of the album aint too bad either. Glad i picked this one up, all these Archive remasters have been great, if you're a fan you can't go wrong. Bonus disc isn't anything special, just demos and such....nothing that really stands out. I listened to it, but that's about it. The official album is the one i'll listen to. Digipack is great , nice three way gatefold and pics of the band from that era. Both this and Venus and Mars are winners. Recommended!!
