R-C5 Blush Brush / Chikuhodo Regular Series / Silver Fox BlackMakeup BrushAmazing brush for the price
I was expecting this to be relatively small like the RC-2, but it is much larger, especially post wash. The hair is soft and resilient with nice density. This brush could be used for powder or blush; it is much more versatile than I was expecting. Comparable to much more expensive silver fox brushes in my collection. At this price point, I don't have to be so precious about it and it's going to get a lot of use.

RAM [SHM-CD] [Regular Edition]Paul McCartneyJust Ram On Paul, Ram On
This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest albums ever released ever. The album just oozes everything from happiness, to simple family life, transcending everything about Paul McCartney's life at the time.

Steam [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD]Soft Machine LegacyThese guys are still very much relevant
If your a SOFT MACHINE fan you really should check this band out. They haven't lost that edge or that adventurous spirit at all, and that's what makes these studio and live releases from SOFT MACHINE LEGACY so great.

The Unbelievable Truth [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD]Elton Dean & The Wrong ObjectThe material is pretty strong & powerful
This is loose Jazz Rock with Avant-Garde leanings and numerous improvised parts, a good fit for those into this particular style and maybe fans of the jamming side of THE SOFT MACHINE and the featured FRANK ZAPPA productions.

FG-01 Powder & Blush Brush / KOYUDO La Fuga del Gatto Series / PTT, PBT FG-01Makeup BrushIncredibly cute, soft, and effective
I bought this brush because I have extremely sensitive skin with rosacea, and I didn't want to feel the guilt of animal cruelty every time I'd put on powder on my face, plus I wanted something durable that would withstand oily sunscreen and regular washing. Well I'm amazed by the softness (not only MUCH softer than western synthetic brands, but I still have a few squirrel brushes at home and this brush could honestly have fooled me) and the performance (no streaks, even and natural coverage). I was totally sleeping on synthetic fude until I read a thorough guide on Reddit (look it up :) that made me realize how underrated it was in terms of durability, performance and softness. I'm also grateful that Koyudo took the bet of a bold design without lowering costs on quality (innovative corn-based fiber and brass ferules) <3

kickin presents MIGHTY MAINSTREAM: DJ's Choice 1965-1973V.A.Roar Of The Red Lion
Not a bad track on this disc. Grinding organ, wailing sax, soaring flutes, soulful funk vocals, cool thumping bass lines with wah wah guitar. Punctuated with latino beats and borderline free jazz. Opening with Jack Wilkins’ excellent version of Red Clay you do get the feeling from the start this CD is going places! Admittedly there are a couple of track edits. However, to appease the purists these work very well. Not strictly mixed, there’s little to no pause between tracks. There’s thought in the track sequencing which allows the music to flow with ease, and not tiring on the listener. Excellent sound quality, and a fold out mini poster type inlay slip that features all the album covers. Closing with Charles McPhersons’ pleasing version of Johns Coltrane’s Naima . . .this compilation is 79 minutes & 30 seconds of pure delight. Vinyl is dead . . . long live CD ! !

Musical "Touken Ranbu" - Bakumatsu Tenro Den -MusicalThe first run was kinda a comedy
Speaking of the early versions of the TouMyu, Bakumatsu Tenrouden has suffered from a lot of inconcistencies such as the Historical Revisionists being able to shapeshift into other beings. So one of them is actually changing into the black cat which Okita Souji meets. You know in history there is that tale about Okita Souji and the cat. Also the set list of song and a lot of the story line are very different from the 2020 re-run of the play. You also hear the yet to evolve voices of all the actors - and even though they aren't that mature yet, their singing is great and the songs are lovely to listen to.
-
Musical "Touken Ranbu" - Mihotose no Komoriuta -Musical Touken RanbuThe improved version
Unlike the re-runs of Atsukashiyama Ibun and Bakumatsu Tenrouden, there are only minor changes to the original content. It seems that the original run wasn't as experimental as the early musicals. However, the story has been tied together in a better way. The actors all have improved their singing significantly and you feel that they made changes which are logical. Ishikirimaru's struggles are far more visible here. They also switched songs up and Shouri no Hata was taken out of the set list. There are also brandnew songs in the concert part.

THUNDER IN THE EASTLOUDNESSThe Album That Started The Search...
1985, I am in my teens listening to 80 metal here in North America. I am watching the typical music video shows of the era when a band from Japan starts ripping up the tv screen with a song called Crazy Nights! That beginning guitar riff is etched into my brain to this day... and that is a long time! This album still holds up today! This was the beginning of my search for great Japanese HR/HM!

35Tokyo Ska Paradise OrchestraThe kings of Ska
The kings of Ska are back and great as ever. Here's to 35 more years. The best tracks are the instrumentals and the one with guest vocals from 10-FEET vocalist Takuma.
