Koyoi Eden no Katasumi DeGARNET CROWKoyoi Eden no Katasumi De
Their best single to date, both Track 1 - "Koyoi Eden no Katasumi De" and Track 3 - "Nonsense" are very up-tempo tunes combining powerful vocals and excellent music. "Koyoi Eden no Katasumi De" is almost frantic in it's energy and while I have never seen "Marheaven/Marchen Awakens Romance", it's an excellent song to send off the series to. Track 2 - "Lost Story" is a slower piece and seems almost out of place compared to the other two tracks. Most recommended.

Best of Inuyasha Hyakka Ryouran - Inuyasha Theme Zenshu [Shipping Within Japan Only]V.A.Inuyasha Soundtrack Collection I
All of Rumiko Takahashi's television series had great soundtracks, but "Inuyasha" took it to another level. This first of two soundtrack collections includes the first four television OP and ED as well as the OP and ED of the first two Inuyasha movies. Even if you have never heard of "Inuyasha", the music is so good you should still enjoy it.

BEST OF INUYASHA Seifumeigetsu - Inuyasha Theme Zenshu 2 [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]V.A.Inuyasha Soundtrack Collection II
All of Rumiko Takahashi's television series had great soundtracks, but "Inuyasha" took it to another level. This second of two soundtrack collections includes the fifth through eighth television OP and ED as well as the OP and ED of the third Inuyasha movie. It also includes all of the "TV-size" OP and ED themes and the DVD includes all the television OP and ED animations. Even if you have never heard of "Inuyasha", the music is so good you should still enjoy it.

Mangekyo / UnlimitedNanase AikawaNanase Aikawa "Mangekyo/Unlimited"
"Unlimited" is the excellent opening theme to the anime "Samurai 7" and the full version loses none of the energy of the shorter version used in the titles. The A-side, "Mangekyo [Kaleidoscope]" reminds me a bit of Sowelu in it's style.

Pata Pata Hikousen no Bouken Vol.1AnimationSecret of Cerulean Sand
If "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" had been a television series instead of a movie, this would have been the result. The character and mechanical design shows influence of Miyazaki's work and the story is well-developed across all the episodes. Somewhat similar in story-telling scope to "Nadia", but with different subject matter and without the "Gilligan's Island" drop-off in the middle.

My Heart In RedMari Iijima"My Heart in Red"
This is a re-release of the original 1989 album, which was recorded after she had moved to Los Angeles, CA and was her first work with ex-husband Jim Studer. The whole disc is good, but two songs - "Still" and "Owari no Toki ~The End of Love~" stand-out as exceptional.

Tommy february6Tommy february6Tommy february6
If you like 80's pop music, you'll like this disc. All of the tracks are "sugary sweet" pop ballads and very different from her work in "The Brilliant Green" or as "Tommy heavenly6".

To YouSowelu"To You" / "Finally"
I purchased this CD for the B-side - "Finally" - which is the opening to the latest "City Hunter" television series - "Angel Heart". Sowelu does a great vocal performance and the backing music has a nice energy to it. "To You" is a romantic ballad and much slower.

CITY HUNTERV.A.City Hunter Dramatic Master II
This two CD set contains vocal and instrumental music from the "City Hunter" and "City Hunter 2" television series as wel as a few drama tracks with the voice cast. Personally, I prefer the seperate City Hunter soundtrack CDs, but the collection on this disc does contain some of the better vocal and instrumental tracks from both series.

JOYYUKIYuki - "Joy"
While Yuki's voice is somewhat reminicent of nails on a chalkboard, the background music is really good with a solid techno beat. Note - the music video for this song is like watching an episode of the old SNL skit "Sprockets". Very strange.
-
Houki Boshi ("Bleach" Outro Theme)YounhaYounha "Houki Boshi"
Possessed with a great voice and a wizard on the piano, both tracks on this CD are excellent. "Omoide ni Dekinai" is a slower piece then "Houki Boshi", but still energetic in scope.

Radiance / Chi ni Kaeru -On the Earth ("StarShip Operators" intro & outro theme) [Regular Edition]Mami Kawada / KOTOKORadiance / Chi ni Kaeru ~On the Earth~
"Radiance" is a high-energy trance/dance track similar to the works of Ayumi Hamasaki on her "Ayu Mix 2" and "Ayu Trance" compilations. There is also some resemblance to Nami Tamaki's "Gundam SEED" tracks. If you like Japanese trance or dance music, chances are you will like "Radiance". "Chi ni Kaeru ~On the Earth~", on the other hand, is a quiet passage with nice vocal work. It is significantly different to the OP, but would not be out of place as the ED to many "shoujo-type" anime.

THE Soundtrack FROM "Secret of Cerulean Sand"Animation SoundtrackSecret of Cerulean Sand Soundtrack
A decent soundtrack, but nothing special. The OP, "Naked Story", is by the band Garnet Crow and is excellent. The ED theme is also good. If you are a fan of the series (as I am), you'll like it.

Maho Sensei Negima! Original Soundtrack Vol. 2Animation SoundtrackMahou Sensei Negima OST 2
While titled as the second Original Soundtrack CD, I believe this is actually the first CD to include the BGM to the show. It has the six "TV size" versions of the OP "Happy Material" as well as the "TV size" version of the second ED "Oshiete Hoshiizo, Shisho".

Anime "Negima!" Intro Theme: Happy MaterialMahoragakuen Chutobu 2-A (Sayo Aisaka, Yuuna Akashi, Kazumi Asakura, Yue Ayase, Ako Izumi, Akira Ohkouchi)Happy Material - Original Version
The first OP to the series "Mahou Sensei Negima". As with all six versions, includes the karaoke instrumental version. Also includes the seiyuu discussing what makes them happy.
-
Anime "Negima!" Outro Theme: Kagayaku Kimi eMahoragakuen Chutobu 2-A: Kanakana kumi (Asuna Kagurazaka, Konoka Konoe, Nodoka Miyazaki, Setsuna Sakurazaki)"Kagayaku Kimi e" / "Believe"
The first ED for the anime "Maho Sensei Negima", this song maintains the same upbeat, happy tempo of the OP ("Happy Material"). The accompanying track, "Believe", is also quite good. The song is more mellow then "Kagayaku Kimi e" and reminded me of the band ZONE's style.

Happy MaterialMahoragakuen Chutobu 2-AHappy Material - More Rock Version
The second OP to the series "Mahou Sensei Negima", this version has more rock instruments and is more upbeat then first OP. Also has new lyrics for the second part.
-
Happy MaterialMahoragakuen Chutobu 2-AHappy Material - More Happy Version
The third OP to the series "Mahou Sensei Negima", this version is even more upbeat then the already upbeat second OP.

Happy MaterialMahoragakuen Chutobu 2-AHappy Material - Beloved Version
The fourth OP to the series "Mahou Sensei Negima", this version is my favorite, especially due to the background music which is very upbeat. Towards the end, Kaede Nagase keeps interjecting "Nin Nin" after each verse. *niko niko*
