Musically, Hold Your Ground is exactly what longtime Khymera fans expect. Eleven tracks of hook-filled melodic rock driven by soaring vocals, strong musicianship, and immaculate production. Songs such as "Sail On Forever", "Runaway", "Could Have Been Us" and "Am I Dreaming" maintain a high standard of songwriting throughout the record. Hold Your Ground may not surpass Khymera's very best releases for every listener, but it stands as one of the stronger melodic rock albums of 2023 and a must-hear for fans.

Midnight Transmission is one of the strongest and most impressive AOR debuts in recent years. The Wild Card is a return to form album for Treat. This album simply Rocks. It has huge hooks, powerful vocals and timeless songwriting. Robert Ernlund vocals remains remarkably strong, delivering each chorus with conviction and emotion. One of the album's greatest strengths is its consistency. Tracks such as "Endeavour", "Back To The Future" and "Adam & Evil" demonstrate Treat's mastery of catchy melodic rock songwriting. Rather than chasing modern trends, the band embraces its identity and delivers exactly what fans of classic Scandinavian melodic hard rock want to hear. The Wild Card is a superbly-crafted melodic rock album fueled by the spirit of '80s rock. A must have for all fans.

For diehard Hardline fans, this is the album many have been hoping for. More than three decades after the classic Double Eclipse, Johnny Gioeli and gang have delivered a record that captures the spirit of that legendary debut while injecting a heavier and more modern edge. Shout is a triumphant return for Hardline and one of the strongest melodic hard rock releases of 2026. It successfully honours the band's legacy while sounding fresh and energetic. Fans of classic Hardline sound will find plenty to love here. What makes Shout so enjoyable is its consistency. There are no obvious filler tracks. The album maintains a strong momentum from start to finish. Standout tracks include the anthemic "Rise Up," the hook-filled "It Owns You," and the excellent "Mother Love," which features one of the album's strongest choruses. The band's reinterpretation of Scorpions' "When You Came Into My Life" is another highlight, transforming the original into a distinctly Hardline-style melodic rocker while showcasing Gioeli's vocal abilities. All in all, Shout is Hardline's finest album in years and arguably their strongest release since the legendary Double Eclipse.

All elements of the pack is carefully agenced in the package, nothing is amiss or damaged. As for the goods in themselves, the selected OST comes in its own sleeve case, apart from the episodes, which is convenient. The pouch seems well made. The booklet contains interviews from the team and basic scketches of characters, only in their Stargaze appearance. I was hoping for some concept arts by Kouji Tajima so it's a big letdown. Now for the show in itself. Coming from the flowless animation of Stampede, something always seems heavy in the animation and the coloring seems way too flashy and glossy whereas we were used to a more realistic feel.Stargaze is supposed to be Stampede's sequel but the tone, whether it is in the animation, writing, the opening and ending songs ... Everything is as far from the prequel as it could be. It's quite obvious that the team in charge did not have the intention of being coherent with Stampede. There are many plot points that don't make sense and are there only to introduce some events that were never meant to and could not happen otherwise. By the last episodes, the way the main characters behave is in total contradiction with their characterization up until that point. It's especially glaring with Vash and Millions Knives. The climax of the show totally misses the point of what their ideals are about, same with the crux of their relationship, why it got damaged to this point and if a reconciliation is possible. Things that are clearly established in Trigun Maximum and Trigun Stampede. The main problem with this whole thing might be that Stargaze just did not understand who Vash the Stampede is. If you try to build something on such a flawed fondation, it just can't work. Be it in reference to Trigun Stampede or Trigun Maximum (that they visibly tried to adapt more than they were trying to follow Stampede's writing), it's completely off the mark. I've not yet listened to the audio commentary tracks but I'm curious about what the team and the orginal mangaka have to say about the whole thing. Stargaze does not feel like a seinen adaptation and neither does it feel like it understood or cared for what Trigun as a whole is about. It's really a pity after Trigun Stampede managed to capture the essence of the series so well in a novel way. I just can't recommend that show to someone who loves Trigun.

One of the best compilations I've ever heard. Traditional Okinawan folk melodies performed with jazz/funk instruments. Hearing this for the first time was like discovering a new primary colour. Includes five different arrangements of the ever-enchanting lively "Tanchame", and they all sound wonderful. Most outstanding is the utterly gorgeous three-part "Ryukyu Miyabi", taken from Kiyoshi Yamaya's 1976 album Ryukyu. Pure pentatonic bliss.

Type A visually feels brighter and more immediately attention-grabbing, while Type B leans a bit more toward completionism and fan appeal because of its different live bonus track. Since the first five tracks are shared, the main difference is not the core music but the package and collectible value. If you want the version that feels more explosive and obvious in presentation, Type A has the edge.

Type B keeps the same core material but gives the release a slightly different identity through its exclusive live track. That makes it feel a little more intimate and collector-oriented, especially if you already enjoy the main songs. If you want the one that feels slightly more special as a purchase, Type B is the better pick.

Really good songs from AKASAKI (my favourite is BUNNY GIRL)! I really like how the CD and it's goods come in an neat cassette tape themed box.
