Brilliant. Just as good as Xenosaga II soundtrack, if you love Kajiura's style you will love this one too. And if you want to listen some good music, you will be pleased as well. Recommended.
Playstation2 Game Xenosaga Episode III [Also Sprach Zarathustra] Original Sound Best Tracks Customer Reviews
Game Music (Music by Yuki Kajiura)
The Xenosaga III soundtrack, much like the game itself, is a mixed bag of amazing and awful. It's better if you've played the game, but music like The Battle of Your Soul, godsibb, and outrageous stand on their own as awesome instrumental pieces. Get the CD if you're a diehard fan or don't mind paying for tracks you won't listen to much.
I've liked the music in all of the various Xenosagas. I bought this before I played the game. It took some time, but after playing the game and listinging to the album, I have grown to like much of it.
This soundtrack of this game is the best of the series has to offer. Any of you Xenosaga fans out there must have this cd now specially it's the last of the series.
This one is fine work but not as far as satisfying as its predecessor. In overall a selection of quiet and easing songs, still you feel the Kajiura-Style and that's important I think :-)
The Xenosaga III soundtrack will establish Ms. Kajiura as one of the top video game composers in the world. She will join the elite group with Mr. Mitsuda and Mr. Uematsu. The compositions are just perfect for the mood and the plot in the game. In most instances, the soundtrack is in the background, and relatively subtle compared to tracks in Xeno I and Xeno II. I liked all versions of Hepatica. What a lovely, tender, and haunting music it is! It fits the scenes with KOS-MOS and Shion perfectly. The soundtrack to the first game, Xenosaga I, received a lot of well-deserved praise. However, I think this one is better. I highly recommend this CD to fans of the game. It is a very desirable item, considering there may not be sequel to the series.
Much more coherent than II's Movie Scene Score, III's "Original Sound Best Tracks" is a good soundtrack with some incredible emotional tracks, and some fantastic examples of Kajiura's prowess at mixing. However, some of the orchestral tracks end up as bland, and very similar to her other work. The best tracks here are Testament and Hepatica #1. Despite criticisms, however, I heartily recommend this to every fan of Xenosaga and Kajiura.
