Many of these songs could have been stand alone singles. Some actually were singles. Overall it was a great buy!
MYV Pops [w/ DVD, Limited Edition] Customer Reviews
Miyavi
i really enjoyed this cd i'm not a big fan of pop but this is not 'pop' this is 'miyavi's pop' it has nothin to do xD it's rather accoustic, he's a genious of the guitare
Everyone's already said what I think of it--the tracks are great, but since they're mostly old songs it was a little disappointing. The few new tracks that were on it, though, completely won me over. At first I was obsessed with 'Peace Sign' because it's such a fun, carefree song, but then I got into 'Fighting Song' and it's been on repeat every week ever since. Fighting Song's acoustic, so maybe that's why I prefer it; whatever, it's just nice to hear some good old rockin' from him. The album's good if you want a collection of his pop-ish songs and the new tracks are definitely a bonus--but the DVD. Ohhhhhh. That was just two and half hours of pure joy. He is such a dork in it that I loved him even more. One of my favorite scenes is of him whoring out on the camera--he'd cover his face with his hand, remove it, make a face, and repeat, but with a different one. I make it sound so lame, but seriously, it was hilarious. Highly recommended for any Miyavi fan (especially since it includes some of those sweet acoustic songs from LFX! :D).
I've been listening to Miyavi for a while now, and I must admit, this release has me even more intrigued than I was before. His talents on guitar are unmistakeable on this album, and, while it isn't entirely accoustic, the things he does with the accoustic on it are amazing. Also, the varying styles, like the slight rockabilly sound of Gigpig Boogie, are a nice twist and show Miyavi's energy. A good addition to a MYV fan's collection.
Miyavi is amazing, the cd is soooooooo good and the extra DVD just adds to how good of a buy this is!!~
Sorry for the lame title, but it's totally true! Miyavi is as graceful and elegant as his name implies in both the CD and DVD included in this set!
Miyavi never ceases to surprise me...thats why i love this guy so much! ^o^ bu this CD though collection of all his singles... wasnt really exciting...the DVD footage though was amazing!! i absolutely loved it!! the limited edition is a great collectors item!!
Even though most of the songs were released as singles, this album was anything but disappointing. I love the new direction his music's taking and I'm glad he decided to go for a different sound. While I love his harder stuff, I also really love everything on this album, especially "We Love You". Every song on MYV Pops is great and the album was worth every penny.
I ordered this during my vacation and when I got it, it basically was on repeat for a couple of weeks. I love it. The dvd was excellent, funny but enjoyable.
Well, what can one possible say about Miyavi? He's an amazing musician, lyricist, and artist that has never yet released a single song that could even consider being even somewhere below the range of awesome. Saying that, Miyavi delivers, once again, musical perfection with his newest album. ^___^
I'm a big fan of Miyavi's music, but I gotta say that I'm a little dissapointed by this album. I was hoping for more new tracks and not rereleased old tracks. Too bad miyavi. But I do like the few new tracks that are on the cd. In fact, I love them. Lets hope the next album will change my mind about things...
I think it is a good album if yu can't afford to get all his other singles that Meev's has released lately (like me!). The booklet is REALLY nice and has lots of pictures, so if yu are a Miyavi fan yu will LOVE it. (=
7 songs from previous singles and 3 other cute songs. It made me want to dance!!! The one year documentary DVD was adorable!
Basically, Meev added 2 new songs in this cd and the rest are from previous singles and LFXs which most of us have heard it before. The dvd show how meev's one year journey and stuff but it's rather plain. This cd is for you only if you are a hardcore miyavi fan. Otherwise, you could do without it.
