This is a great single. It has the PV for Dear My Friend which is great plus the great song Itoshii Hito. This is a great addition to your Miyavi collection.

Another smash double a-side single from Miyavi. Dear My Friend is a wonderful song with more of a pop feel than some of what Miyavi has done in the past. Really catchy and sticks with you throughout the day. Itoshii hito 2006 ver. is also very good and he sings it with so much emotion. With Dear My Friend ~dokusou~ Myvs does his usual acoustic set for the song. Has a really nice sound to it. The PV for Dear My Friend is just goofy silly fun with Myvs and it's very amusing. If you already thought he was spastic, you've gotta watch this PV. If you're going to buy this version over either of the other two, the main reason you'd want to buy it is for the PV DVD.
any fan of Miyavi has to purchase his newest single, a happy tune of Dear my friend, makes even rainy days look fun. itoshii hito has been remade into a song that shows how much Miyavi has evolved into a man musically and personally. must buy! ;)
Just what I expected and didn't expect from our dear Miyavi. ^_^ I absolutely love both of these songs. Dear my friend: Such an adorable and happy song, great to listen to if you're feeling down (even better to watch!). The PV for this was just too cute also, I love the randomness of everything. The song itself is acoustic and Miyavi's voice sort of sounds like it's coming from an intercom or something. It takes very little time to get used to, and it goes very well with the song. Itoshii Hito: I always liked the original, but I personally adore this revamped version. The song and PV are just so beautiful. Instead of being mostly guitar like the original, this version is more piano. It's a little hard to describe, it's much better to just listen for yourself. Listen to these songs and you'll have them stuck in your head all day! I very highly reccommend this to anyone.
An easy going first song for the single, Dear my Friend is light and upbeat. It's not un-similar to most of the accoustic stuff miyavi has done, yet this song stands out in its own way.The song cheers me up and the PV is no less interesting. Miyavi is being very free-spirited and mainly just enjoying himself.
The guitar work in this song is not the usual hard rock Miyavi, this song is cheery and upbeat, you can sort this with his "Ashita Genki ni Naare" song (the guitar work). It's fun to listen to and you can actually picture Miyavi doing silly and goofy things, and if you've seen the video, he went skydiving, took videos of his staff and himself while traveling, played guitar on the street, played with this "white mask" and laughed at the people who slept at the bus and randomly at himself and went hyper. (It also showed that this skinny man ACTUALLY EATS! LMAO.) The PV for this one is really very very unique and FUNNY. I don't know the full meaning of the song yet, because I can't read nor understand japanese, i need the translation first, but based on the melody or tune and video, it is very interesting to watch and listen!!
He's established his career well, and now he just wants to have fun. His last release, Gipig Boogie, was pretty light-hearted and enjoyable. Dear My Friend is no different, and the accompanying free-spirited PV proves this. The flatness of his voice, as if it were over a speaker, was a bit unfavorable at first but it grows on you.
