7 CDs, and an 8th DVD? How can I resist? The packaging is beautiful, the discs are great, and the music in this game is amazing... The extras in the DVD were also a pleasant surprise as well, pity the tracks on the DVD aren't in CD form, I would love to play the tracks on my stereo. The CDs and DVD themselves are housed nicely and in a nice systematic way to keep them organized and safe, which is a nice touch. If you are a fan of Fire Emblem Fates, or just FE in general, definitely get this set, you won't regret it. Just listening to the soundtrack itself is great, and I love reliving the game through the music...

Game Music
I don't really own much OST or get them to be honest but after hearing the first trailer for this game I had to buy it. It comes with 7 disc with one being DVd for the cutscenes in the actual video game itself. Each track sound beautiful and some a remix but it sounds great all the same. If you like FE I would recommend this OST.
The music is the same style as Awakening but on a bigger scale. The use of Japanese elements in combination with some western European elements give it a unique flair. The game is about exercising freewill and choice and then dealing with the consequences of the paths we choose. What if? I feel that the music reflects what the game is trying to communicate. There is a lot of music and the tunes will play through twice so you get a lot of listening time. My personal favorites are number 12 (Distant Daybreak) and number 9 (accompany dusk?) on the first disc. The box that houses the discs was a lot bigger than what I thought. It was splendid. The discs were magnificent. Beautiful colors. I don't think you will be disappointed.
I preordered it when it was first announced. As a long time Fire Emblem fan, I cannot turn a blind eye to this wonderful soundtrack. It came in a well-packaged, very sturdy box all the way from Japan. The set has 8 discs, very beautifully decorated with character artworks. The 8th disc is a DVD that contains a lot of extra materials from the game, including the cutscenes of each characters of the royal families. Elise and Sakura have 2 cutscenes in which they say Onii-chan or Onee-chan. Only the character introduction cutscenes and opening movies are included, so... no spoilers for you! The set also comes with a booklet written in Japanese that unfortunately I cannot read. I will have to learn Japanese soon. Also, I think the discs are not region-locked. They work on my laptops and my car stereo system, but I am not sure if it applies to everyone. In the end, if you are a Fire Emblem fan, you have to buy this. You will not regret this decision!
Ordered this as an import. Really glad I did. It has seven discs worth of music and an eighth disc as a DVD with all the cutscenes in the game. Comes in a gorgeous quadruple fold box and a nice booklet detailing the song lists, with art of the characters on each page. This is definitely worth the money.
