Some other orchestated Final Fantasy CDs have all new arrangements of familiar music. Not so here. The majority of the tracks are lifted straight from the Final Fantasy VII OST, no changes whatsoever. The last three are orchestrated versions of the main theme, One-winged Angel, and Aerith's Theme. The arrangements are beautiful (and, in my opinion, worth the cost of the CD) but your opinion may differ. The tracks lifted from the OST are a rather eclectic bunch...not all of the main character themes are present...it really seems that they were selected haphazardly. If you don't have the OST, however, this is a nice starter CD.

The "reunion tracks" Cd contains a decent selection of pieces from the FFVII OST unaltered in any way, with a few odd choices here and there. At the end, however, are 3 glorious tracks that make the Cd completely worth it. 3 of the best songs from the OST performed by a symphony orchestra. They sound truly beautiful and near flawless from a performance standpoint. And if you are a One-Winged Angel fan, don't even hesitate.
Nobuo Uematsu has always been a Genius in his musical compositions, and this cd is one proof of it. Not only do you get to hear the music from the very much loved Final Fantasy VII, but you can hear the orchestrated versions of some of the songs, and they are filled with both Beauty and A powerful melody.
I cant wait to add another Final Fantasy series soundtrack to my collection! Good sound!!!! Good music ^o^
