It's a very well balanced and a very cohesive work. "David Gilmour" is, in my humble opinion, an album that, despite remaining in the area of Pink Floyd's music, also explores other musical areas but only if they were very close to that area. So, "David Gilmour" is a very good album and if you like the inimitable guitar sound of David Gilmour, especially on Pink Floyd's album "Animals", the resemblance is obvious, you mustn't miss this album, for any kind of reason. It should please Pink Floyd's fans. It boasts strong songs, great guitar work and Gilmour's ever-charming vocals.

Gilmour's first solo album. Pink Floyd is one of my favourite bands. I recommend this to other as well definetily.

I thought that this was never going to be released after numerous delays but FINALLY we have David Gilmour's first solo release on Blu-Spec CD2 & it does not disappoint, a thoroughly enjoyable listen!! About Face & On An Island are recommended as well. It might be a dream but maybe one day we will get some Pink Floyd albums released on BS CD2 as well!!
