D'espairsRay are in my opinion the best live band I've seen so far, in terms of amazing precision playing, stage presence, impressive set length and somehow managing to make the experience of listening to D'espairsRay even better. This DVD along with the more recent "Spiral Staircase #15" is definately a must have, I recommend the DVD as much as seeing them live in the flesh. Oh, also--- I think the eye candy the DVD provides is worth the ticket price at least, haha.
D'ESPAIRSRAY LIVE TOUR -06(LIQUIDIZE) -Yugosuru Taion- Customer Reviews
D'espairsRay
its really worth buying it :D excellent quality and a great band, of course and they played all of my favourite songs <3
Thi is my first live show from D'espairsray. I love it. my favourites song are: "Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana", "Maze", "Infection", "Pig" and "Tatoeba, kimi...ga...shinda...ra". Great and powerful DVD!!!!!!
A great gig with all of their best song ! if you've just discovered this band and you don't know what to buy : you should try this dvd
I've only recently gotten to know D'espairsray, but after hearing their song "BORN" (which is fortunately present on this DVD as well as their newest Spiral Staircase #15 DVD), I was sold. I rushed out to get my paws on Coll:set, Mirror and this Liquidize live DVD. The images are a little wild, and there are several interludes, but I've gotten used to them. The visuals are wild and sometimes a little dark, but overall it's pretty good, and never do the lights/stroboscopes annoy me. Musically I find they're very good at recreating the overall sound of the albums, but with so much more energy. It's incredible. All band members are in tip-top shape and give one hell of a show. Plus the music is just awesome and energetic, I find it hard to sit still. Just now I even played along with the songs on my bass whilst watching it. Whew, what a rush. Hehe... I consider myself a new fan of D'espairsray, and am going to get their newest DVD soon. Unfortunately I have been unable to find their EP's, singles and Murder Day live DVD for sale. =( I hope they will re-issue them some time in the future. One thing is for sure, if they ever come to my country, I'm going to see them.
This is a really great dvd. The band really gives it there all on stage. It did sound like there were some audio issues on the dvd but its nothing too bad. The dvd is at a good price too. You definately get your $ worth.
D'espairsRay has got to be one of the best if not THE best live band in the world. They rocks my freaking socks off! They just have SO MUCH ENERGY on stage, its unbelievable! And good lord Hizumi just poors his whole heart and soul into his singing, and the whole band just performs so well live. Rock on D'espairsRay!
I love this band! They are so amazing, everything they do is great. I love their music and their look on this dvd is super sexy.
This concert is absolutely fantastic! Pretty much all of my favorites were played, old and new. This DVD really shows what a great live band D'espairsRay is. I, myself saw them live in November '06 and this DVD brings back memories (even though it's a totally different gig). If you haven't ever heard D'espairsRay and want to get to know them, then I recommend you to watch this DVD. Of course, all the fans should get this also. You aren't a fan if you don't have this. It doesn't even cost that much.
This DVD was AMAZING! Not a single song was cut out from the set list. and my goodness the quality was excellent. Better then Their first DVD Murder Day. This is for sure a MUST HAVE for all Manias
This is a great introduction to the music of D'espairsRay; the selection of music spanning their whole career is great for old and new fans alike. The visual style of the band is great, but the musical/video production of the band signals a downturn in the DVD's quality. The music and vocals are performed well, but delays and mashing/grating between the live and electric/synth parts can be distracting at times along with annoying mic feedback. A stereo-only audio track is horrible and unacceptable! This is the worst thing about Japanese DVD's in general: when will they realize that in 2006 stereo mixes just don't cut it? Also, the 4:3 video is bland and lacks crispness in some places, even up-converted to 1080i, especially when viewed on a large screen. All criticisms aside, D'espairsRay's music and stage presence is enough to overcome the weak audio and visuals. The extra footage of the second free "encore show" is a great addition to a very underwhelming DVD. Special Bonuses for region-free playback, excellent set list, and mid-level pricing. Recommended.
Well, you can't complain it with a D'espairsRay concert you've been to. But this concert also really great. Here you see how D'espairsRay changed since their last live "Murder Day". And it's great. They also keep up to their old fans with old songs like "Facism" or "Tatoeba kimi...ga...shinda...ra". They are really one of the best (live) bands I've ever known.
Taken from Fool's Mate live report of the concert: 1. "Tatoeba" Kimi ga... shinda... ra 2. Genshoku 3. Dears 4. in vain 5. Infection 6. Reddish -DIVA ver.- 7. "Forbidden" 8. Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana 9. Maze 10. Hai to ame 11. Garnet 12. Aberu to Kain 13. Closer to Ideal 14. Pig 15. Born 16. "Fuyuu Shita Risou" 17. Murder freaks Encore 18. Subliminal 19. Facism
