This is a great brush. I recommend it to use for blending . The bristle is natural hair so the feeling is niceb
GSN-10 Eye Shadow Brush / Chikuhodo GSN Series / Goat Customer Reviews
Makeup Brush
Another great blending brush from Chikuhodo. Not as soft as the Z11 but good enough (for my sensitive and mature eyelids). This and the Z11 are my staples in my makeup routine. definitely worth the money.
It is the right softness/stiffness combo for the job (both for pickup and application)- were it softer, the colour would not deposit properly and the end result would be muddy and imprecise, which is NOT why one would purchase a smaller blending brush like this. It feels like a small pixie's hand rubbing and smoothing product gently across your eyelid lol
This is good basic eyeshadow brush it does the job. However it is a bit scratchy if you have sensitive eyes and there are better options with similar style, hair type and price like Hakuhodo. It is a good workhorse for makeup artists.
If I could compare this brush to a cult fav it would be the MAC 217 but unfortunately even though the GSN series has great reviews I found the softness of this brush to be just a little bit better than MAC. It was better but it did not blow me away. However with the price tag and the way this brush works it is a much better brush than the MAC. I use it to apply my transition shade and also blend out harsh lines. It's tip is more tapered and it's fibers are longer than the MAC 217 so I am really able to get in the crease to blend. I also use it to diffusely apply highlighter on my nose and like how long it is and the shiny gold ferrule. This is a better brush to have in your kit than the MAC 217 for sure.
It is an appropriate tool for blending and the last finishing steps. It creates blurried lines without sharp edges.
Very similar to Mac brushes in hair quality, hence not the softest. But anyway, does the job and has really nice design.
