It's soft and good for blending even under low eyelashes, beautiful design in black colour, it does not loose hairs

I need the softness of this brush for the lower lash line. Holding the brush in my hand I can feel the craftsmanship. From the bristles to the handle, this brush is very well made.

I use this brush for lower lash line. It is really good to pick up matte colour eye shadow. The whole Z series is just can not go wrong.

I just love this brand, this is the 2nd brush I have the pleasure of owing. Everything about this brush just shouts quality and it is great for all the small details

Super duper soft pencil brush so maybe not be firm enough if you prefer a stiffer one, or a sharp look than the soft smokey lower lash look. It softened a bit more after washing too. I like it because it does not hurt my lower lash line when used for lining shadows or lightly blending out harsh lines.

Very soft and pointy! My 1st encounter of pencil brush! Am loving it for putting crease color. Gentle and yet pick up good amount of color! My eyeshadow application is so smooth & perfect!

Do not know why, when I used on the eyelids, I feel a little tingling. I feel a little disappointed......

If I could give this 10 stars I would! I think the Z series has really spoilt me now and I really just can't use any other brush ever. I had the MAC 219 pencil brush for years and the Z 10 has changed my life. It's bristles are longer than the 219 and if I rate the Z 10 100% on the softness scale then the MAC 219 would be in the negative range. It's scratchy for the under eye while the Z 10 feels like clouds on my under eye. People talk about the Z 10 being less precise but I don't know what kind of precision they're talking about, the Z 10 does a brilliant job because the squirrel hair picks up and applies enough product for my liking. It does not smear or spread so for my it is 100% precise as well. There is no other pencil brush out there by any brand in the world that can compare with this brush. My holy grail and best brush ever!

Finally I decided to purchase Chikuhodo eye shadow Z-10 pencil type brush along with Z-4 blush brush. I have been thinking about this for a while and tried to do as much research as possible, read the online bloggers, watch youtube reviews and then finally made my decision. No regret at all.

This is the softest pencil brush I have ever used. It's a bit bigger than I expected but still easy to use because of the point on this brush. I just adore it.

This pencil brush is so soft. Other pencil brushes which I have used were rough and too harsh for my eyelids. But this pencil brush chikuhodo Z-10 is perfectly soft for my eye. And I think it works precisely enough despite its softness.

The brush is surprisingly large. Although it is a little bit difficult to work precisely with it, it convinces the user with its softness.

This is a beautyfully made brush, relatively small, wtith a lovely handle, and feather-soft hair. For me it doesn't really work as a pencil brush, rather as a small blending brush. Because this brush is so soft it is not suited for precision work, but it works well blending shadows along lashline to create a soft, diffused version of a smoky-eye. I'm giving this brush four stars because I think there are plenty good brushes of this kind - the one that immediately comes to mind is Koyudo C011. Of course, Koyudo's goat is not as soft as Chikuhodo's squirrel, but it makes C011 more versatile than Z-10. So, if you need a reliable "working horse" pencil brush, Koyudo might be a better option. If you want luxury - go for Chikuhodo.

Never thought I needed a pencil brush until I got this one. All the Chikuhodo brushes are so soft and well made, and this is no exception. Great quality.

Chikuhodo brushes are some of the softest brushes I own and this one is no exception! This brush does everything a typical pencil brush can do. The best thing about this is that it does not irritate your lower lash line or make your eyes water if you have sensitive eyes. This is a bigger pencil brush (~10mm in length I believe) so it is larger than a MAC 219 brush and keep that in mind when purchasing. The biggest downside of this brush is that it is a bit floppy so it is not as easy to control. Because this is made of squirrel hair, you got to be careful with how you use and take care of it. You can not use this brush to smudge out eye liner and it cannot be washed often (at most once a month) because of the delicate squirrel hair. I gave this brush 4 stars but I would instead give it 4.5 stars and still highly recommend it :) Happy shopping!
