The Z4 is smaller than expected, and is firmer/more resilient that I anticipated of gray squirrel hair. But for travelling purposes, this dainty little tool is pretty useful. The handle is classy and light.

This is hands down the most luxurious brush I own (also the priciest)! It's worth it for the most part, since I have really sensitive skin and the Z4 feels so gentle on my skin. Docking one star because I've noticed some shedding even though I'm pretty good with my brushes. I'm not sure if this is normal since I've only been using it for a month so far.

I learned about Z-4 from Fude Kyun on youtube. I purchased RC-2 first (which is also a great brush) and finally Z-4. In time I figured out I like paddle-shape brushes better. Besides, this brush is so admirably designed that all you have to do is swipe it across the pan and then across your cheek. It works no matter which product you use. It picks up everything and blends as you apply. Glides softly and gently. Perfect size, perfect shape, perfect performance. If I had to choose one cheek brush off all the brushes, it would definitely be Z-4.

I should have got it earlier. As a paddle brush, it's soft and elastic, very idle for brushes & highlights. No wonder he Z series has been so popular for so long. It's really a gem!

Soft,good craftsmanship, multitasker. The squirrel hair is a high grade one, way better than the artist series or regular one from Chikuhodo, the handle is sturdy.

So happy I could finally get the z-4! I use it for contouring, applying blush, and sometimes to set my under-eye concealer and highlighter. Its shape makes it so versatile and functional.

This is a nice small blush brush. Soft and dense at the same time as expected from the z series. I personally like the size of z8 more but still it is very good for more specific application. I love how they apply my hourglass blushes.

It was the very first brush I bought from the Z series. Very beautiful with a glossy handle, a gentle nap that so pleasantly caresses the face. She is very comfortable to apply blush, before buying Z- , she was also wearing a bronzer. It is soft but elastic. Very good brush, I m happy with it, but this is the only brush of this series of all that I have is losing hairs ((and it s sad, for this I took off one race.) I do not know why, maybe I got married, in general the Z series magic brushes , they are perfect.When I bought the Z series with other brushes I stopped using it, my hands are drawn only to them. I sincerely recommend the Z series.

It is wonderful brush. The result is always perfect (precise, even, non-streaky) and that, whatever the blush, pigmented or not.

The z-4 cheek is my everyday blush brush and i have many to choose from but this is a cut above the rest. It applies blush flawlessly and is the perfect size and very easy to handle. All the z-series are super soft and ive never had a problem with them shedding any hairs. Definitely worth the price. I highly recommend this and every other brush in this series.

Love this brush because it does not shed like the koyudo brush. I use it for cheek blush. The hair is very soft. Comparing to koyudo, the softness is 9 out of 10.

This is my 2018 favorite blush brush. When I revieved this brush and I used this brush everyday. First, I really like the round shape, and size is perfect for my face. It is not too small and also not too big. Second, this brushehair is from grey squirrel which is soft. When you using this brush, it feels nothing on your skin. Third, this brush can grab perfect amount of products. When you use very pigments blush, this brush still can give you natural looking without too mush product on your face! I like this brush!!!

This is my first face brush from the Z series and I'm totally converted and can't wait to get the Z 1 and Z 9 as soon as my wallet can afford it. This brush is so insanely soft, I didn't think humans could produce anything like this! Thanks to the squirrels I suppose! You might think that soft does not equal good but just no. This brush picks up enough product that I actually have to use a light hand when using it with my NARS/Bobbi Brown/Bare Minerals blushes and highlighters. Be careful while putting product on though because its not the best blending brush. It works best in dabbing motions rather than circular motions. Only to be used with powder products I love caressing the bristles on my face even when I'm not doing my make up. It feels like air!

A smaller brush than you would expect but a great addition to any "working" collection. Gives good control and gentle washes of color exactly where you want it. Great size for targetted powdering of the face to minimize cakiness.

This is a great brush for bronzer, blusher and highlighter. It is amazingly made and feels silky soft on the skin. Due to its softness, it deposits just the right amount of product, which can be placed on the right parts of the face. While it glides effortlessly over my skin, it does not disturb my foundation and concealer upon application. Overall, this brush exceeded my expectations! A very nice soft brush giving a nice touch on your face creating natural look. Is smaller than my brush from hakuhodo but still quite dense & pick up product so wonderful as well as reaching smaller area as highlight brush.

After using it for the first time, I totally in love with it! Extremely soft. My favourite blush brush for blush application right now. This makeup brush makes all the difference! I also bought a Chikuhodo Z-10 eye brush and I can say the brand as a whole is awesome! Extremely soft, high quality and perfect size. Absolutely love this brush and may purchase a second for a spare.

During my hunt for Chikuhodo brushes, I came upon CDJapan and the excellent services that they provided. I chose the chikuhodo z4 brush because I have heard that it is comparable to the Suqqu Cheek brush and I wanted to try Chikuhodo version before I made the big Suqqu purchase as Chikuhodo manufactures the Suqqu cheek brush too. And to my surprise, this brush was decadently soft on my cheeks! Use it for loose powder or blush and you get a diffuse and soft and even application! I highly recommend giving the Z series a try, you will NOT regret it!
