With this work, Gackt C. returned to Japanese music scene, followed by his tour: GACKT LIVE TOUR 2008-2009 Requiem et Reminiscence II. "Jesus", as a cruel dark/rock song with sense of emotional violence/misery, stands out from his usual music, either rock. No complex composition, (don't disregard), so expressed with the theme to some not dear. Should carefully reflect on a song message, and with which it connected in Asakura Report or Zero's Mail. Then, "Sayonara -RR II ver.-". This is a re-recording of the song from 'Rebirth', both being connected with RRI&RRII concept. Imagine a soldier in war uniform on a piano, to sing a cold emotional ballad with tears. Very nice lyrics.. Complement this work, and what is essentially the instrumental track is -good- to listen. *DVD on limited edition, Dears only. *Both "Jesus" and "Sayonara -RR II ver.-" were remastered for "Re:born".

This title is just amazing, I can't find any word to describe it. In fact, it has converted into one of my most valuable Gackt's songs (Jesus), along with Journey through the Decade and many others :) I really suggest every fan to buy those singles, they worth every yen spent..

I am a huge fan of Gackt and ordered this the day it came out. I am late with this review but here it is. The main single [Jesus] is very cool to listen to over and over, and the soft tune of [Sayonara RRII] is also cool. I reccomend this CD to everyone who loves Gackt and his music! The CD came to me in excellent condition, CDJapan is a very reliable source and cheap in prices compared to other sites.

hace tiempo q compre el cd. pero nunca postee. la cancion es muy buena. gackt siempre termina sorprendiendonos. la version rr2 de sayounara es muy bella, y se puede apreciar el cambio de voz de gackt. no se cual me gusta mas la version moderna o la original. la cosa es q vale comprarse este single, vale cada dolar o yen q cueste.

Although I would have loved to have gotten the pv with this, I'm still very happy. It's Gackt after all! Both the songs are great. I like how it has the hard hitting Jesus then the beautiful Sayonara that I think really showcases his voice, which never seems to fail, either in the studio or live.

It was alright the only thing I wished was it had more actual songs. T.T Gackt is great!!!!!!! XD do recommend if you REALLY are a Gackt fan!

Hmmm...for me the music of 'Jesus' is friendly to Gackt's newbies. Perhaps he wants to attract more young people to hear his music. But for me, who has been listening to Gackt's music for almost 8 years, I don't find Jesus is appealing. There's nothing wrong with the music..just that, i was expecting a greater masterpiece by Gackt. And I also prefer the 'Rebirth' version of 'Sayonara'.

Amazing song from Gackt, I like very much. And The b-side is perfect, RRII version of Sayonara; so cool!!!!!!!

this is a bit more rock than Gackt usually does, but I like it! He has an amazing voice that He can be both mello and in your face. Looking forward to his future projects.

Just Awesome, Great album from Gackt and I could say it is his best! Its a little bit different from his previous style because its more rock but its still the same Gackt as you know and he show the real side of Jrock while making you understand the theme really well! Nice Job!

I can't complain, it's Gackt doing what he does best, which is rocking out while experimenting with a new sound. Love the single!

Gackt has done to date. No joke. This song is AMAZING, Gackt's come along way with this one. I suspect it will turn out to be a Vanilla like success.

Gackt has proven again that he can work with a different music style with great skill. 'Jesus' is dark and very rockin. The lyrics and music both suit each other. The cover photo art looks really cool... deathly, like going into the afterlife... really suits the song 'Jesus.' I liked listening to the new version of 'Sayonara,' as well. I look forward to the next single and wonder what sound Gackt will work with next. Thank you very much!

"Jesus" is Gackts great single. One of his better hard rockers songs, very enyobale for me to hear it in hard periods of life when you have anger in yourself.. You should buy it ;)

Gackt's always amazing in all of his music. After being absent for quite awhile in his music career,he's come back with a bang! Jesus is so amazing,and makes me just want to dance like crazy. The new version of Sayonara has more emotion and feeling in the music. Not sure which version I like more though,but the inst. makes me cry. Well done Gackt-san. You keep amazing me every time.

For the first time in a year, we are presented with a brand-spankin' new single; a single that simply serves to prove that Gackt is back and ready to ROCK. The featured track, "Jesus", is a song erupting with a heavy and violent tune. This edgier sound, although divergent from Gackt's previous releases, confirms that he can execute any style of music with incredible ease and skill. Its accompanying lyrics, which are equally rough, present us with a new chapter of Gackt's Rebirth/RR project. For some, the image portrayed by the lyrics and (especially) the PV for "Jesus", may cause some controversy (as we can see on this page, it already has). As sensitive a subject religion may be to some, the message within "Jesus" is to be taken with a grain of salt. **This song is in no way a challenge to Christianity or a condonation of suicide. It is simply a tie-in to his up-and-coming concert, Requiem et Reminiscence II. ** The second track -- a remake of Rebirth's "Sayonara"-- is, in my opinion, a somewhat weak song that was made simply to fill space. Compared to its predecessor, "Sayonara RRII ver." shares the same slow tempo and melodious tune but is ultimately spoiled by the erratic violin solo about 3 minutes in. Had the solo been kept in its original state, I think I could have enjoyed it a little more. However, despite that minor detail, I thoroughly enjoyed "Jesus" and am excited to see where Gackt's new direction in his music will lead.
