GAYLYMPIC EBISU 2005 Customer Reviews

Gaylympic, an olympic-themed show by Sendai Kamotsu. It's good. =3 Picture and sound are good. The stage is filled well, and the band is dressed in sportswear. As usual, singer Chiba's costume is rediculous. =3 I imagine the MC's (talking) between some of the songs are hilarious, and I did chuckle a little, but I can't understand Japanese. ^^ The music generally sounds happy and light-hearted, and is a blend of various styles, though it's mostly rock. The DVD lasted longer than I thought it would, though I was a little disappointed that the encores were two songs they played during the regular set as well (such as the opening song). I guess that happens when you don't have a big discography yet, though perhaps they could've played a funny cover? Not necessarily Nightmare's, but I imagine they could make something nice out of someone else's songs. =3 Good DVD, this. Worth your money.

Sendai Kamotsu is just great.. And so this Live is! Chiba is so freaky, the music is so powerfull, and the MC's are so funny at least.

this is a really awesome DVD! But they all not really gay! I hope everyone knows that! Chiba is so cute!! But my most favorite is ChenChen (Ni~ya)!

You won't regret it...if for anything else, it's worth it to see Chiba's costume...

this dvd is a must for those who love sendai kamotsu!!! the live performance in this dvd is so F-ing beautiful (especially chiba)!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this DVD. I've known about the antics of Sendai Kamotsu for a while now, but nothing prepared me for what I saw when I watched this concert. Sendai Kamotsu are hilarious - and this comes out from start to finish. I was laughing the entire time and if I wasn't laughing, I was staring with wide eyes in disbelief. Chiba is something that cannot be explained. The crowd really ate up the antics; and the backstage footage of it all is just - it adds to the hilarity. I think I'll watch this whenever I need a good laugh and a feel good day.

If anyone doubts whether to order this, I can say only one thing - DO SO. Each minute of the show, stating from the introduction and the Japanese Anthem sung by Chiba, up to the very end, the whole live brings tears of laughter and a stomach ache! Deffinetly worht every penny spent!

Sendai Kamotsu made it again. This DVD is hilarious. This band has a lot of energy and a good sense of humor and you can see it on this DVD. If you liked the first one Sendai Kamotsu DVD you'll like this, too.
