merveilles l'espace Customer Reviews

Malice Mizer's “Merveilles lespace” live performance is nothing short of a gothic spectacle — a rich blend of theatricality, baroque aesthetics, and musical brilliance. Set in a dreamlike, otherworldly stage design, the band delivers an immersive experience that blurs the line between concert and grand opera. Gackt’s hauntingly elegant vocals, combined with Mana’s graceful presence and Kozi’s eerie charisma, elevate the show into pure visual kei artistry. Every song unfolds like a dramatic chapter, enhanced by stunning costumes, atmospheric lighting, and choreographed movement. It’s a celebration of fantasy and emotion, echoing the band’s core philosophy. “Merveilles l’espace” isn’t just a live — it’s an unforgettable, otherworldly journey.

This DVD is the most precious thing I have. I love Malice MIzer so much, and I love this show, it's my favorite ever! The most beautiful thing that a Malice Mizer fan can have. I cried so much when I open the box, it was so exciting, I'm so happy that I bought this DVD. Love it so much, thank you CD Japan to became possible that fans from other countries can buy this precious things from the bands we love the most. I'm so happy! I will always love Malice Mizer, till the day I die.

The Merveilles concert is simply wonderful, and a must-have for any fan of Malice Mizer or Gackt. The visuals are stunning, and I highly recommend watching this on a high quality TV set in the dark... some of their (in my opinion) best songs are included in this live, such as Illuminati, Gekka no Yasoukyoku, Ju Te Veux, and of course the beautiful finale of Le Ciel. Everything about this video screams perfection and beauty. if you haven't seen it, watch it!! The DVD visuals are much more crisp than the VHS version, and well worth the price.

In my opinion, Merveilles is the best album of Malice... Well, Merveilles L'Space is the best concert, every songs of the album and unforget moments

I loved this live. I suggest that if you are a hardcore Malice Mizer fan,and enjoyed the Gackt era,you will love this live. My favorite live performance of all has to be Le Ciel, and you'll see why. Visual Kei forever! ~Kitana

Such a beautiful concert! Malice mizer at it's best. The costumes are stunningly beautiful and the variety of songs... just wow!

This DVD is one of the best live performances from Malice Mizer. The columbia records era (with Gackt). My favourite songs are: "S-concious", "Illuminatti", "syunikiss", "Gekka no yasoukyoku", "Belle air", "<<8>>", "au revoir" and "Le ciel". Beautiful art. Perfect music. I love it!!!!!

I had no idea what to expect from Malice Mizer on stage. Well, they certainly took a lot of effort, time (and money, probably) to create this show. An entire "building" as stage prop, extreme visual costumes, and a lovely show. This is Tour '98 Merveilles, and features many songs from that album. There were a few songs I didn't easily recognize, but I'm not a total Malice Mizer nut, so forgive me. =) It was enjoyable all the same. At first they come on stage in leather-like costumes and perform S-Conscious and Illuminati (with many many flashes...made my head hurt the first time, and that NEVER happens to me whilst watching a DVD), and they do a silent theatrical interlude. Then they re-appear in theatrical medieval costumes and perform a few songs, and around the ending they switch costumes again. It's funny to note that Gackt wears an outfit that makes him look A LOT like "Squall" from the game Final Fantasy VIII. And since this was from 1998 and Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997... =) I think I will need a few more views in order to know which songs are exactly on the setlist (I do have their albums and single-only songs), but I recommend this.

Ginger (see below) is absolutly right! I watched this DVD twice in a row and was even more amazed the second time through! Malice Mizer puts on an AMAZING live performance! The only flaw is the not-so-great title menus, but that can be easily overlooked by the content. A must buy for ANY jrock fan!!! ^_^

I love Malice Mizer, so I must blame a bit this dvd edition; it's extremely poor, there aren't extras, menus are quite uncomfortable. Of course I think that this is a must have for all Malice Mizer's fans, but it's just a video, and it can be easly found on the net without pay this quite high price.

All I can say is WOW ^.^ Amazing performances, no, MORE than amazing...Beyong what words can describe. I was completely traumatized in awe!

The title says it all: not only for the awesome quality of Malice Mizer's songs from "Merveilles" but also the scenery, audio mixing and camera works are the closest things to perfection I've ever seen, get it at any cost!

An absolutely wonderful performance. With its sexy moments, bizarre moments, and moments of absolute CUTE, you will never cease to be entertained. A must-have for any Malice Mizer or VK fan, definately. After all, who can resist the urge to see Gackt in the ILLUMINATI shorts?

This is an amazing live performance! A must-have for Malice Mizer fans or fans of visual-kei in general.
