"BLUE BIRD" is a mediocre Pop-Techno composed by D.A.I with a melody so unoriginal that it resembles "fairyland". "Beautiful Fighters" is another unoriginal mediocre song composed by Kikuchi Kazuhito which just reminds me of another horrible song "Ladies Night", but definitely better than "Ladies Night" and "BLUE BIRD". Sad to see both D.A.I and Kazuhito compose such lousy song as both composers used to write great songs for ayu. Nothing special about the rock arranged "Ladies Night" & "BLUE BIRD" techno remix. The pv for "BLUE BIRD" is 1 of ayu worst & most boring pv, reminding me of a low budget "fairyland" pv. It starts with ayu singing alone on a sand-bank and unnatural footage of ayu playing with her staffs are added later. The pv of "Beautiful Fighters" is more interesting, but not her best. The video shows girls caught in embarrassing situation during work but still gets support from people they offended. Sad to see ayu putting out such low quality product as she used to reputable for high quality, creativity and inspiration before her decline in 2002.
Blue Bird [Jacket A] [CD+DVD] Customer Reviews

I haven't heard it yet becaus it was a gift for a friend, but I'm sure it will be good as to be expected from Ayu
The Japan best songbird ... New album that consist of lively music that join exactly in the summer .. Album picture is pretty, but music is very good. Also, the Japan best songbird ..
Con mucho gusto les comento que es de lo mejor de ayu actualmente y estoy muy contento con el dvd d alta calidad y el poster.Realmente este cd es especial ya que ayu retoma la musica tanto romantica y alegre como movida y ritmica
Bought the two different CD+DVD versions. Overall the service is quite good, the only thing which didn't satisfy me is about the condition of the poster. I hope there would be a better handling for posters in the future.
I've been looking forward to listening to this single since receiving "(miss)understood". Absolutely loved it!
Blue bird is an upbeat and inspirational song. While Beautiful fighter is another catchy song and a great b side that compliments Blue bird. It's no surprise that Blue bird has become another hit single for Ayumi. If you have not been a fan of Ayu's recent singles or album, buy this and you will change your mind. Any Jpop lover will enjoy this single greatly and replay the songs over and over again.
The art included with this single only helps to elevate how wonderful the cd is with the complimentary dvd. As always, Ayu sings wonderfully, and the dvd was nice to have to see a video of Blue Bird.
Once again, Hamasaki releases an amazing single which is sure to please all her fans! A song packed with energy and of course, her neverending creativity, one feels more "uplifted" in a sense after listening to it, as well. It seems to be a song that's full of hope and promise. Definitely one of the better singles she's released in the past 2 years! The covers of all her albums and singles are always soemthing worth waiting for, too. A perfect blend of warm and bold colors, pleasing to the eye, and Hamasaki laid out like a Grecian Goddess of Ancient times. She presents an almost sexier image in this one compared to a number of her other works , but still retains definite class and maturity. She is after all, 27 years old (and still going strong) and gorgeous. An example of one who grows more beautiful as she ages, like fine wine. Regret will never cross your minds after purchasing this, Hamasaki has aimed to entertain and please fans over the years and has not failed.
