I never knew Ayu could put on a great show. From beginning to end, I saw the type of musician she was. Singing hit songs such as Evolution and Surreal, I really enjoyed watching this performance. She is quite a genuine person. A Song for XX was performed with such emotion it sent chills down my spine. I never knew she had such a powerful voice even if it does squeak at certain parts.

All the talk about this concert as one of Ayu's best isn't just empty words - her vocals are incredibly strong and honest to her studio recordings. While her voice was still a lot more high-pitched and immature back when this concert was filmed, she's still up to note and puts her all in her songs. This concert has songs from her older albums and being a big fan of her "Duty" album, I was really moved to see many of my favorite older tracks performed live. She put her soul in her songs and that solely makes this concert worth seeing. Her performance of Duty and A Song For XX left me breathless and crying - it was a very emotional experience. Definitely a must have for any true fan of Ayu's and especially if you like her older songs better.

I wasn't to sure about purchasing this one. I was afraid that Ayu's performance wasn't gonna be good enough, but I got such an amazing surprise! The tracklist is perfect, Ayu's vocals are great, and the whole show is just stunning! I absolutely recommend this one.

There's a girl in Japan that is creating something special, this DVD is just a little sign of the huge talent of Ayumi Hamasaki. It took me a lot of time to decide to order this DVD, I should have know.. it was an amazing experience, if you're on this page, do not wait, just buy it u won't regret. The concert is magnificent, the best I've ever seen, in video or live, scenography is top level, hundreds of dancers around the arena.. the group is a super group. The sound is rock, impossible to resist, Ayumi screams like crazy from the start to the end... It's something you CAN'T miss...you just can't..

Everything comes together perfectly in this energetic live concert from Ayumi Hamasaki. From the unique opening featuring many dancers carrying giant flags and dancing in the ailses, to the emotion packed final song, "Who," this concert grabs you and won't let go. Sure, there are a few songs that I find a little "too cute" (ie. "Fly High") for my tastes, and I'm not fond of dancers pretending they are playing an instrument, but these last only a short time and are completely overshadowed by the other 95% of this DVD that is just stunning. Arrangements on the majority of songs have been given a little more of a rock edge compared to their studio/album counterparts (the absolute best version of "A Song For XX" you'll hear anywhere). The band plays flawlessly and every song is packed with energy and raw emotion that is contagous, even through a TV tube in the confines of one's living room. The set is huge, with a very clever front projection system integrated with video monitors. Editing and photography perfectly captures the experience and the sound is excellent. A must-have for anyone who's even remotely a fan of J-Pop.

Everything from this concert was amazing! The costumes, the stage, everything was excellent. In this concert Ayu represents various countries, including USA, China and UK. In the beginning Ayu appears 'inside the Earth'. At the end of this representations (before the encore) she sings on a big sphere representing the world. The encore was really fun, it makes you feel you are in the concert. As always, Ayu gives her best to make the audience and the people who is watching the DVD happy.

Dome Tour 2001 has already become a legend for all Ayumi Hamasaki fans as they pass the word of it being the best Ayu tour ever! If you haven't seen it yet, you've missed a fantastic show that 55,000 people saw only in Tokyo (at least it is capacity of the Tokyo Dome, impressive, isn't it?). You'll see Ayu perform her best songs (my favorites are "vogue" and "Endless sorrow") with her superb guitar players Yoshio & Enrique, "A" Special Strings & large dancing troupe, she'll change costumes & wigs, show purest emotions and make fans applaud like crazy.
