Japan Post has provided the following update regarding international mail.
Starting August 29, 2025, the duty-free threshold will be eliminated, and customs duties will be applied. However, as of August 19, 2025, the exact procedures for customs declaration and duty payment to U.S. Customs are still unclear. Because of this, international mail sent to the United States may be delayed or returned.
