Dream Theater took on the challenge of creating their first concept album in order to present a clearer identity for the band.
The result is a dramatic and thrilling rock opera based on the theme of "reincarnation," a development of the classic song "Metropolis Part 1" from the 1992 album "Images and Words."

This is a rare glimpse into the process of constructing a meticulously spun and shocking story through a process of trial and error.
