See-Saw

See-Saw made their debut on the Funhouse label in 1992. The duo, comprised of vocalist Chiaki Ishikawa and keyboardist/composer Yuki Kajiura, hit it big with major anime-related hits in 2002, namely "Obsession" and "Yasashii Yoake" (".hack//SIGN" intro and outro themes, and ".hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu"), and "Anna ni Issho Dattanoni" ("Gundam SEED" outro theme). Kajiura's brilliant songwriting ability, particularly when it comes to melodies, is well matched by Ishikawa's sofisticated vocal performance. Possessing a voice of incredible range, strength and feeling, she has the capacity to convey the whole gammut of emotions. Be it techno-oriented or pop like, their songs blend heightened intensity with dreamy qualities. Their intoxicating brand of music is showcased in their latest (2003) album "Dream Field," as well as their best-of compilation "Early Best," and other releases seen below.
