20 years since the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross, a brand new OVA series directed by Shoji Kawamori has been unleashed.

Featuring 5.1ch Surround sound and fully CGI rendered transformation sequence and flight actions, the OVA follows the story taking place in the period previous to the one depicted in the original series.
