Life Is But A Dream . . .Avenged SevenfoldA reborn Avenged Sevenfold
It's been a long time since I last bought an Avenged Sevenfold album - in fact the last album I purchased was City of Evil all the way back in 2005. And that was also the last I heard of Avenged Sevenfold. It wasn't until I read mixed reviews of their new album that either alienated longtime fans, or brought in raving fans, that I decided to check this album out. No regrets doing so as the album is a huge shift from their metalcore Waking the Fallen days, or their last few heavy metal records. This is progressive, psychedelic, and introduces a side of Avenged Sevenfold that I would never have expected. There is a huge range of influences that could be heard, ranging from death metal, progressive rock (of course), groove metal, and even electronic music (just listen to the Daft Punk-esque (O)rdinary). All in all an excellent album that has been on constant rotation since I first heard it, and I hope that Avenged Sevenfold continues in this path of musical exploration in upcoming releases.

New Levels New DevilspolyphiaFinally
The album that got me hooked on Polyphia. I've been searching high and low for this album but to no avail. Finally found a copy here, and a Japanese press no less. Fast shipping as always from Japan to Singapore.
