Subarashiki kana, Kono Sekai [Regular Edition]MiyaviAwwwesome :D
This single made me love Miyavi ALL OVER AGAIN. I mean, obviously I loved him before or I wouldn't have gotten the CD, but this sound. The words. Ugh. It was so, so good. Not that I have anything against hip hop, but I just can't get that into it. So the previous single didn't do too much for me.

Subarashiki kana, Kono Sekai [w/ DVD, Limited Edition / Type B]Miyavigood job miyavi
Even though the B side has almost less to offer than the regular edition (only two songs; no additional booklet; stickers as only extras) it's still my second favorite version of the single. Firstly, that cover is sex. Secondly, well. Let's face it, the only reason people are buying the B side is for the cover. But in all seriousness, one thing that makes this single different from all the others Miyavi's released is that each side has something different. So, theoretically speaking, in order to have the full "experience" you'd need to get all three sides. The regular edition has the extra song; the B side has the two PVs; and the A side has a super thick booklet with a Miyavi photoshoot inside and a behind the scenes DVD. I guess it really depends on what you find more important. Personally, I want all three, which is why I bought all of them. xD Um, anyway. I haven't listened to the third song yet--I just remembered it today--but I'm sure it'll be awesome. I love "What a Wonderful World", though, so I give the single 5 stars. :)

Subarashiki kana, Kono Sekai [w/ DVD + Photo Book, Limited Edition / Type A]Miyavigreat extras
I am SO glad that I got this version of Miyavi's new single. (Actually, I got all of the versions...but that's not the point.) I don't know what I love more, the nice little booklet and dust cover that's included or the DVD with behind the scenes videos of Miyavi in his Germany live. It's adorable hearing Miyavi speak in English, and the footage of the live was awesome, too. One interesting moment was during the live when a fan passed up silk boxers up to Miyavi and he put it on someone's head (I forget which Kavki Boy it was, but it was pretty damn funny). The only thing I can think of that they could've included were the actual PVs of the singles. I mean, not all of us can afford to buy more than one side, you know? D:

7 Samurai Sessions -We're Kavki Boiz- [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Miyavipretty good
I have to admit, I was fully prepared to be as blown away by the album as I was when I first heard Selfish Love at Jrock Revolution. And, yeah, it does sound nice, but for a few of the songs (like Kimi ni Negai wo or Shouri no V-ROCK) I couldn't help feeling that the original was far superior. Still, it's a cool new sound he's experimenting with. And it's not to say that the other songs aren't any good, because they are.

Sakihokoru Hana no Yoni / Kabuki BOIZ [Regular Edition]Miyaviunique sound
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the third track, but Sakihokoru Hana no Yoni satisfied me enough to let it slide. It's a really neat song because it mixes some hip hop with Miyavi's classic acoustic style, so it's at least interesting. The videos were a bit of a bummer as well. They looked pretty much the same to me, but I did like the KAVKI BOYS PV a little better. Overall, I'm not sure I like the style as it is, but I'm definitely interested in the direction Miyavi's going. I wonder what he'll do next? I'm personally hoping for a return of his Miyavizm-esque style, but you know, whatever he comes up with always seems to work. A great buy for any Miyavi fan, but if you're looking for an introduction to his work I'd suggest something else.

Kimi ni Negai wo [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Miyaviawesome
Even though it's really different from the rest of his music, the song's become one of my favorites. It's really pretty, and instead of tons of guitar he's got almost a full-on orchestra playing, and surprisingly, it works. A must-have for any Miyavi fan.

Hitorigei 3 [Limited Edition]Miyaviawesome!
I have to be honest: I had a really hard time containing myself when I opened a package in the mail and found THIS inside it. I know it's a lot more pop and sweet than Miyavi's old work used to be, but I really like the music videos included. I noticed that Are you ready to ROCK? and Kekkonshiki no Uta were on this as well, even though they were featured on Hitorigei 2 already--but since Kekkon's my favorite song ever I couldn't complain. ;D Each video's followed by a little commercial type clip that I'm assuming was used to advertise the songs. The first time I saw it, I thought the video had started over. XD; Anyway, when you click on each video the little chibi sized version of Miyavi pops up and walks across the screen. It's adorable watching little Kekkon!Myv and I especially liked Kimi ni Negai wo Miyavi in his pajamas. The bonuses are nice, actually, because they have the making of Kekkon and AYRTR? Plus some footage from his concert in Korea and the 25 Days concert he did. Overall, it's an awesome product for any Miyavi fan. You definitely don't want to miss it.

MYV Pops [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Miyavito add my two cents
Everyone's already said what I think of it--the tracks are great, but since they're mostly old songs it was a little disappointing. The few new tracks that were on it, though, completely won me over. At first I was obsessed with 'Peace Sign' because it's such a fun, carefree song, but then I got into 'Fighting Song' and it's been on repeat every week ever since. Fighting Song's acoustic, so maybe that's why I prefer it; whatever, it's just nice to hear some good old rockin' from him. The album's good if you want a collection of his pop-ish songs and the new tracks are definitely a bonus--but the DVD. Ohhhhhh. That was just two and half hours of pure joy. He is such a dork in it that I loved him even more. One of my favorite scenes is of him whoring out on the camera--he'd cover his face with his hand, remove it, make a face, and repeat, but with a different one. I make it sound so lame, but seriously, it was hilarious. Highly recommended for any Miyavi fan (especially since it includes some of those sweet acoustic songs from LFX! :D).

Miyaviuta - DokusoMiyaviMiyavi :D
I wasn't actually expecting much from this album, since I'd checked out the playlist before and saw that most of the tracks were old songs of his. After I listened to the album, though, I am SO glad that I pre-ordered it. A lot of the songs are some of the acoustic pieces he played on LFX, just polished up--and they sound AWESOME. 'Boku wa Shitteru' is so soothing and heartfelt that you can't help but love it. (And yeah, I admit it, I breathed a little sigh of relief when I heard 'Selfish Love'. Glad to know he hasn't forgotten he's a rocker. ;D) It isn't easy to make a good album composed entirely of acoustic guitar, but Miyavi did it, and with style. Miyaviuta was completely worth it. (Oh, and the last track is just 6 minutes and 22 seconds of silence. I freaked out at first because I thought my copy was defective, but it's actually just 382 seconds of silence--382 = Miyavi, get it? I guess he was feeling playful during recording.)

GarakuMiyaviNew Album! :D
Highly anticipated new album for us Miyavi fans. When his last single (Dear My Friend/Itoshii Hito) came out we were thrilled, and when he announced he had two singles and an album coming out later in the year (consecutive months, people: June, July, August *dies*), we were STUNNED. The man won't stop working. We're going broke because of it, but at least we'll be happy. :) I'm very looking forward to the release.
