The Beatles [Super Deluxe Edition] [6SHM-CD + Blu-ray Audio / Limited Edition]The Beatlessave your hard earn money.
i listen to the shm-cd and i say wow. it's the best sound ever. why pay for the box set just for 3 extra demo cd's you probably hear once. a blu-ray audio, which is to me not as good as the cd's. it re-veils to much high resolution. mono sounds ok. i should have just got the 3 shm-cd set.

The Original Soundtrack [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]10cchi-res the original soundtrack
it's fabulous.. the sound detail with vocals and instruments are better on this than the shm-sacd and more life than the flat transfer that was used on the shm-platinum and regular shm-cd. which i thought that was the winner till i heard the mqa-cd version. it's a must have for a better upgrade of this album.

A Night At The Opera [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Queenthe greatest album by queen
since the original master tapes was not used in the new mqa-cd format. i compared it to my shm-platinum which was remastered in 2011 flat transfer. both sound great. if you want more life like drums and bass. this one's for you. To get the most of your sound quality. you do need the hardware/software to hear the dsd master which i'm sure sounds a lot better in hi-res. just wish i had it.

Synchronicity [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]The Policebest police album
for those that have the shm-sacd, platinum or the regular shm-cd with the flat transfer. i could say this. all 3 sounded good to me. so if you want to try something different in audio quality hi-res is perfect sounding. you may hear things in the instruments you did not hear in the other formats up close.

Who's Next [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]The Whoone of who's best albums.
compared to mca-gold disc and shm-sacd. this mqa beats that in sound. every detail is heard even without special hardware/software. it's probably the best sounding version out there. i was about to pass up on this one. i'm glad i didn't. i recommend this to any who or new fan. even if you have more than 4 copies of this album.

Foxtrot [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Genesisfoxtrot hi-res.
for those that have the sacd, cd , shm-cd and platinum. i think the sound quality is equal to the sacd version. i should know i have all 4 listed above. the hi-res does give out great detail in vocals and the bands performance without the hardware/software. i do recommend this to anyone who loves this album. no matter how many copies you have of this.

Breakfast In America [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Supertrampsupertramp hi-res.
i compared this to my mfsl gold cd from back in the 90's. this beats it in sound and detail. i need no hardware or software to hear great detail. someday i will get it for right now i'm sticking to what equipment i have. if your a fan of supertramp or not i would recommend this cd too any 70's fan.

Sticky Fingers [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]The Rolling Stonesgreatest stones album
beware it sounds loud, but better than the platinum-cd. the master tapes was used so that's a good thing. making the recording sound fresh and clean. it doesn't sound muddy and the song bitch sounds better than ever. even the rest of the songs sound good. i was not disappointed with my purchase.

In The Court Of The Crimson King [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]
King CrimsonIn The Court Of The Crimson King [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]King Crimson7" COVERS PLATINUM SHM-CD/ DVD-Ausing the 40th anniversary on platinum shm-cd with high resolution cutting sounds like the 30th anniversary in 2004 (hdcd) series on the 21st century and original master edition. which were top notch sound. so if you have them 2 no need to upgrade. though the vocal is different on the platinum.

Larks Tongues In Aspic [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]
King CrimsonLarks Tongues In Aspic [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]King Crimson7" COVERS. PLATINUM SHM-CD/DVD-Ausing the 40th anniversary master on platinum shm-cd with high resolution cutting. makes this master piece stand out more than any lark's cd that was made in the past. including the 30th and 40th anniversary that was used on aluminum disc. I am happy with the platinum than the one on k2hd hqcd aluminum cd I have. I am not going to comment on the dvd-audio. I heard it sounds like the platinum-cd.

King CrimsonRed [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]King Crimson7" covers. platinum shm-cd / dvd-ausing the 40th anniversary master to put on platinum shm-cd with high resolution cutting. it sounds more superior than the k2hd hqcd w/ dvd. every detail is heard perfectly. I love it.

H To He. Who Am The Only One [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-SACD] [Limited Release]Van Der Graaf Generatorgood album
I like every song from the master tape. killer had a minor glitch in the song, the other's sound fine. sacd compared to the platinum. reveals more detail in each song. no loudness wars here. I should warn new people that never heard of van der graaf generator before. it's no heavy metal band. mostly yelling, screaming, loud and soft voice. no singing here.

For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-SACD] [Limited Release]Caravanamazing sound quality.
all songs are good. I come across this album when I saw it listed on this website. I didn't think I heard anything from caravan before. to here the full album. I went to a website that played it. wow when I heard songs 4 5 and 6. boom it dawned on me that a friend played this album for me back in the late 70's. never heard it again until now. I am glad I did get it and the sacd is a must, sounds alive.

Music From Big Pink [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]The Banda wonderful piece to own
this is my first time buying any thing by the band. the album came out in 69. reaching #9 on the chart for that year. in 1970 another band cd came out called the band reaching #9 again for that year. I don't think that the band cd was much for me as was this one. I like 6 tunes out of 11. the platinum cd had warmth that I did not need the super audio cd. but super audio cd's reveal more detail than a normal cd. the only reason why I choose platinum for it's long lasting life span. it last longer than a normal cd.

[Encore Pressing] The Beatles [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]The Beatles#1 beatles album
I missed out on this one had to pay double for it. after setting my bass and treble the sound of each recording was in full glory. I am picky how I hear my music. this beats the 2009 which sound dull without the shm plastic cover. even though it has the same re-mastering.

Selling England By The Pound [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Genesismy favorite genesis album
this is one of my favorite genesis album. the platinum did not do any justice to the battle of epping forest or the cinema show. the winner is the shm-cd version that came out last spring. that's my opinion. everybody else has different stereo systems and maybe they can hear this version better than me.

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Genesisanother masterpiece destroyed
I voted 3 stars. I have the japan mini sleeve sacd/dvd, the shm-cd from last spring, now the platinum. for audio quality the dvd-audio won over the platinum and shm-cd from last spring. but the shm-cd from last spring is the second best that it would ever get. I think the platinum was weak and had no life to the audio. I was hoping it would.

Nursery Cryme [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Genesiswonderful masterpiece
this is my 2nd favorite of genesis . the platinum gives the audio tracks a warmth to it than the shm-cd did. if you did not buy the 2014 shm-cd release you saved money. I have the sacd/dvd from uk of this and I think it has the same recording as the sacd on the cd side, not the dvd version. on the cd side there were 3 ways you could hear this. normal cd play, awful sound. 2 channel stereo much better and 5.1 surround. this is my third time buying nursery cryme sacd/dvd, shm-cd, now the platinum and to me this is the version to have. I read that the platinum series were extremely limited.
-
Foxtrot [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Platinum SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Genesiswonderful design of the album
to start out foxtrot was one of the weakest albums to me, it's my 5th favorite from genesis archives. I have the sacd/dvd, the shm-cd and now the platinum. so I heard all 3 cd versions. the winner is the platinum. it kind of sounds like the sacd version from the first issue with more warmth to it. get um out by Friday and supper ready has more detail than the shm-cd did. the rest of the songs sound great two. oh horizon sounds more natural on here also. I heard that the platinum cd's are extremely limited on the genesis series.

An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]Rod Stewartvery good album
the sound on this cd is ok. better than other re-masters out there. this is my favorite over rods every picture. I like this to come out on shm-sacd and platinum.
