Glass Skin [Cardboard Sleeve] [Limited Edition]Dir en greyAmazing
I'll admit, I wasn't blown away by Marrow of the Bone, it was just another heavy metal album in my eyes. But the sneak peaks we've been given at the upcoming Dir full length have hinted towards a new sound, and this single further delivers further confermation. Rather then taking a step forward or backwards, they take a step sideways. And the resulting CD is one of Dir en Greys strongest singles in a long time. first of all I really like the track listing. For the past few years Dir en Grey have fell in the 1 Studio and 2/3 live tracks. But here they mix it up with 3 studio tracks (1 unique track 2 remakes and a live track). Glass Skin is an amazingly haunting melodic song where Kyo shows that its not all sreaching and yelling anymore. Undecided has a more unplugged feeling this time around. And Agitated Screams of Maggots...well..you're just going to have to listen to that one yourself. Ryojoku no Ame [LIVE] is a good, solid closing to the single. Kyo sings all his lines, and doesn't scream where its not needed, which really adds something to the song. I could go on and on, but I won't, listen to this single and judge for yourself.

Karate House [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]POLYSICSsynth pop madness
Polysics seem to have blended there sounds and influences from past releases and came out with what could be called one of there most solid releases ever. Granted there are 3-4 filler tracks in the middle, but would you rather them not even attempt to make songs and leave you with a 12 track $30 CD? There are lots of experimental tracks, such as the opener (I do not know Japanese, so I am unable to name the track, but its #1), and Catch on Everywhere provide a peek into the insane world that is Polysics. The last track, Polysics or Die, borrows a page from every Polysics influence and turns it upside down, creating 3 minutes of Devo-esque Speak and Spell crazyness. If you like polysics, check out the samples of the album and decide for yourself. But chances are that this album has something for every polysics fan.

Agitated Screams of Maggots [Limited Edition]Dir en greyStop crying
You know, for people who sit there and complain about music, you probably haven't done much. Rather then bitch about music, go make your own. Then come back and share your opinions like the pure gold you think they are. Is this like there previous work? No. But then again, I dare you to go back into there major lable days and find 2 albums/singles that are exactly alike in style. Bands evolving isn't a bad thing, and if you don't like it, don't listen to it.

PageantMoi dix Moisa unique side of Dix
I needed this single for awhile to complete my Dix collection, but for some reason I just never bothered to pick it up. But when I did, I was suprised to hear a new side of Moi Dix Mois. Pageant is almost dance-floor worthy, and could definitly be played at a goth/industrial club somewhere in Japan..or even america! IF you want to experiance every side of Dix, I reccomend picking up this single as well.

Ryojoku no Ame [Limited Edition]Dir en greyGood one
A nice, solid release fro Dir en Grey. They mix there new aggressive side with the older, melodic music. The only problem I have with this single is that there should be at least one other B-Side. Hearing the same tracks re-used over and over from DVDs, CDs and singles kinda got old quick. But don't let that stop you from picking this up!

You-You-You [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]POLYSICSGive it a chance, it'll grow on you
Note: The review is on the title track only, as I have only seen the PV/herd the title track. The title track for you-you-you presents a new sound for Polysics. The sound is more guitar driven, and the keyboards are pushed into the forground for once. This provides the listener with a new sound, which may provide a challenge for long time fans, but given the chance the title track on the single will be a long time favorite.

Saishuwa - Mata Aeru Sono Hi Made . . . / Epilog - Katari Tsugareru MonogatariPsycho le CemuThis needs to get back in stock!!
Good thing i ordered this early, because its already hard to find. luckily for me I also pre-ordered some other items, and they should be in stock just as the DVD is re-stocked. 2 DVDs worth of cherear-spanding music with pro-shot video can only be good!

Psycho le Cemu Risokyo Ryoko ZeppPsycho le CemuAwsome!
fans of PLC NEED this DVD. The footage is supurb, the song selection is extensive and the sound is dead on. The lone extra is the concert skit preformed during the show. A+!

I'llDir en greyGo back in time
I was shocked when I saw this single for order on CD Japan. Its like you're being transported back to the late 90s Visual Kei scene. Its hard to imagin t he sounds of Dir en Grey from today evolving from the visual kei so unds featured on I'll. My only problem is how short the single is (2 tracks), but its still worth it!

Gensokyoku - Eternal Science [w/ DVD, Limited Release]PhantasmagoriaSolid release from a solid band
Phantasmagoria mixes things up a bit with a slowed down melody in the last single in there 3 singles in 3 months project. I was lucky enough to scoop this out right before it sold out, but those who did miss this release should pick up the new release Synthesis songs, which includes all three singles as well as a EP only track, glitter.

Psycho in USA LIVE & DOCUMENTPsycho le CemuThank GOD this has subtitles!
When I ordered this, it was maybe 2 weeks after seeing the live preformance-based Psycho in USA Vol. 2. Unknowingly, I ordered this, not hip to the fact that this was mostly interviews and behind the scenes footage with Psycho le Cemu members. This is cool and all, but if you don't speak Japanese you'll be lost, right? WRONG! The band did the right move by including subtitles in this release, so not only do you get some great live footage, but you also get some insiteful interviews with the band. Highly reccomended!

LOVE IS DEAD [A-type][CD+DVD]Psycho le CemuThe better of the two singles...
This is the turning point for Psycho le Cemu, not only musically but carere wise, as shortly after this release the band went on hiatus and Dashi got into his trouble. However, this was as good of a release as any, and a prime single to leave us with for the period they scesed activities. The song is more straight-forward rock and roll mixed with visual kei melodies, and sounds like Aya and Seeks project Isabela, so fans of that project can rest assured that there are similarities between this single and the overall vibe of the Isabela project.

Lamentful MissMoi dix MoisLementful Miss
So, Mana and CO. are releasing another single, and although its pretty cool that they decided to follow up Beyond the Gate so quickly, I would have loved to have ahd them take there time and record another new song, rather then 2 re-recorded songs. However, you can't complain, anything Dix related is a welcome addition to my collection. =) This is also my first jRock Pre-order, but definitly not my last! I can't wait till the 25th when I can finally check out what Mana and Co. have in store.

Psycho le Cemu Indies Live Eizo Best (Title Subject to Change)Psycho le CemuHOLY CRAP!!
Alas, it seems Psycho le cemu has released more meterial at a more constant rate now that they disbanned but that doesn't matter. This discription alone got me so excited that I peed a little...I am sooo pumped...

Psycho le Cemu Greatest Hits [CD+DVD]Psycho le CemuI can't wait
when I herd PLC was disbanding, I was pretty upset. But seeing how they have been releasing a steady source of post-disbandment meterial, I should have enough PLC to keep my happy for a little while longer :)
