Sora no Otoshimono Official Fan BookBOOKSora no Otoshimono Official Fan Book
Was expecting the book to be a slight bit more thicker but can't complain. An in-depth artbook of the entire cast, among other things. High-quality gloss paper which some artbooks these days don't have. Would recommend this to those getting into the series. Will be a nice start to get to know and understand the rather unique setting of SnO. Even more so considering the manga itself has yet to finish (and I doubt it'll be completed any time soon).

the Garden of sinners - Gekijoban "Kara no Kyokai" Ongakushu -Animation SoundtrackKara no Kyokai Ongakushu - OST
Pretty much a 'the-best' album compiling BGMs from all seven movies (provided my memory serves correct...). Was contemplating sourcing the limited edition DVDs just for the songs, but this does the job fine (and for a much lower price). Can't fault that gothic / eerie melody that is Kara no Kyoukai.

LOVE x BEST [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Sachi TainakaIt's OK. Not great, but not bad.
Has some classics which is welcome. However I did expect more 'original' songs in the disc. At least the DVD was a ok bonus.

After their success with the Vocaloid album, I thought I'd give this a go. And I'm happy that I did.

Fate/Tiger Colosseum Original Soundtrack Complete Edition [Limited Release]Game MusicFate / Tiger Colosseum OST (LTD Ed.)
An ok soundtrack, with various 'shorties' that I'm personally thinking of using on my cell or media player, as notification tones. There are a few full versions of songs across two discs which does make this buy somewhat worthwhile. Though the bonus card (which I didn't really expect much of as it was) is not as 'value-for money' as I'd expected; this is supposed to be a limited edition...

Fate/stay night [Realta Nua] Original Soundtrack [Limited Edition]Game MusicRealta Nua Original Soundtrack [LTD Ed.]
I own the PC visual novel, and having heard (and liked) the BGM from Realta Nua, I thought I'd buy myself a copy. Realta Nua's soundtrack does sound more lively, and considering that this limited edition comes with 3x CDs instead of the regular edition's 1x and the rather small price difference, I'd say this was a good buy.

"White Album-Tsuzurareru Fuyu No Omoide-" Original SoundtrackGame MusicWhite Album PS3 Remake OST
Considering I own the actual 1998 White Album visual novel, which also doubles as an OST CD, the songs here are more-or-less updates of the original plus a few extra tracks. The BGM sounds 'livelier', brighter, and portrays more of the mood that the visual novel tries to get to you. I was hoping for the full version of the novel's OP with Suara but no luck, despite this being a 2x CD set. Though that is my only complaint. All in all, a nice BGM set to listen to, and if you have the 1998 OST, then this is going to be a welcome and pleasing update.

Heart StationHikaru UtadaHeart Station
Not as good as I hoped. Though the vocals in 'Beautiful World' and 'Kiss and Cry' were commendable, and I am rather pulled into the melody for track 13. The album is ok, but I certainly expected more...

The album more-or-less leans towards the instruments and the feel of the songs in Utawarerumono. Not a bad thing, and Suara-san does a good job with the vocals in some of the visual novel's own OST. Would recommend to those who want a honest intro to Suara-san's voice and her style of songs.

Impact Exciter [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Nana MizukiImpact Exciter [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]
Just one word to describe this... Excellent. Did contemplate as to whether I should settle with a limited or standard edition, but considering the extras and the price difference, I bit the bullet with the limited version. Packaging is small and compact with it's own box. The DVD and CD are packaged separately, as is the photobook (all three in the box). The metallic finish of the CD and DVD cover does make differentiate this from other CDs in my collection. The DVD and photobook are nice wee extras, and the 500-odd extra yen for them does make this a worthwhile pack. The songs now... Most of them are rather fast-paced, which I think Mizuki-san is pretty well-suited for. Rock and pop. All good and sweet. A few songs are from earlier maxi-singles, so if you don't have them settle for this. This covers the basics nicely. All in all, highly recommended.

Jewelry Song [SACD Hybrid]Rena UeharaOne of her better albums
A range of songs that are used from visual novels, anime, and her own 'album-only' tracks. Very light and a pleasure to listen to; her voice is favourably mellow compared to most other singers these days.

Ah! My Goddess Theatrical Feature SoundtrackAnimation SoundtrackAh! My Goddess OST
Always been a fan of classical music, and considering the 'orchestratic' origins of the album, I thought I'd buy one myself. Doesn't disappoint; songs depict moods very well and personally are very 'insightful'. Maybe one or two songs don't really fit, but overall a nice album. That plus it brings back memories of the movie if you have seen it.

Ikki Tousen Best Song Collection - Song & Soul Matsuri [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]AnimationIkki Tousen Classic
A nostalgiagic album. I never finished watching the anime, but always liked the OP and ED tracks of a few seasons, a reason why I bought this in the first place. Good lyrics, tunes you can drive to over long distances and never get tired of. DVD has creditless OPs and EDs of a few Ikki Tousen seasons; that was a pleasant bonus for me. Not too sure how long this Limited Edition will be available for. Get it while you still can~

Todokanai Koi / twinkle snowRena Uehara, Akari TsudaThe essential album
Having played White Album 2 Introductory Chapter, and liking the BGM and the opening, I thought I'd bite a bullet and buy. My first on CDJapan, and a good first purchase. Nice album with full length songs, slightly different (and better-in-my-opinion) lyrics. As an audiophile, I took an instant liking for the melody as I did with pretty much the entire White Album 2 visual novel (which, ironicly is centred around a music group). I'll probably go and buy the Closing Chapter album when it comes out, which I think is later this year.
