NAMI TAMAKI 2nd CONCERT "Make Progress - road to"Nami TamakiProgress?
Tamaki Nami's first live DVD of her second tour, held in 2005. A disappointing tracklisting with a disappointing stage setting. Already by the first song, "-Fly Away-" I realized that her live vocals have improved a lot since her debut. But that was the only plus about the whole concert. Here and there she dances on the stronger, upbeat tracks but when she performs her ballads, the whole stage is empty and it's just Nami singing. Which really hurts the replay value. I was not fond of the fact that she performed the "Reason ~flash-forward mix~" instead of the original mix, as "Reason" is one of her most popular songs. She also merged her first five singles into a medley, which is a shame. Usually her single songs are the best ones, thus they should not be performed in a medley. I did enjoy a few parts of the concert, like how Nami was always smiling and full of energy. It's a nice thing to add to your collection if you're a fan, but non-fans better check out the Best CONCERT "My Graduation".

Realize DVDNami TamakiExcellent DVD single!
The "Realize" video is awesome by itself already, however, there are 2 extra viewing angles on this disc, allowing the watcher to focus on the dance. It's a really smart move from Sony, because if you want to learn those way-too-cool dance moves, it gets a lot easier with the help of the second and third angle. The making of was also really fun to watch and the commercial was just a little extra that I appreciated anyway. I recommend this to all Nami fans, or anyone who likes dancing.

ResultNami TamakiResult: smashing.
Tamaki Nami's 11th single, "Result" is the image song for a Gundam SEED Special. This marks her fourth Gundam song. "Result" is a very strong track, starting out with Nami's vocals that introduce you to the song. A technoish rhytm follows, lead by drums, as we storm into the first verse which she delivers with a strong voice, lower than she usually does. With powerful vocals and a beat that doesn't allow you to sit still, "Result" is to date, one of Nami's best songs and if not, *the* best. The coupling songs "Making the pride" and "Stay Gold" are both okay, "Stay Gold" being the best out of the two. "Making the pride" has a slower pace, but has still this techno-pop feel that Nami is known for. In my opinion, "Stay Gold" sounded like a western song; and a very good one. She stretches her vocals to the max in this turning this song into one of her best performances in her career. The package was nice, both first press and regular. The pictures of Nami in the golden car were stunning, the CD picture carried the same colour making it one of the niftiest I've ever seen. This is, to date, my favourite Nami single and I hope she will do more like this.
