Grand FinaleALI PROJECTBrilliant~
This is an absolutely spectacular CD for any Ali Project fan. It has 10 tracks of their most popular music redone to orchestra music. the tracks are 1) Gessshouku Grad Guignol 2)Koiseiyo Otome 3)seishoujo ryoiki 4)Ophilia Ibun 5)Jinsei Bimi Raisan 6)Yami no Tsubasa de Subete wo Tsutsumu Yoru no Tame no Aria 7) Ai to Makoto 8)Sensou to Heiwa 9) Arabesque Romanesque(instrumental) 10)Nocturnal I bought this CD allmost just for Seishoujo ryouiki, but all of the songs sound wonderful. It is a different feel from the originals, but it still feels very Ali Project. If you like Ali Project, you'll probably like this CD.

Fushigi Hoshi no Futago Hime Vol.1AnimationFutago power!
I love Futago Hime. It's a insatiably cute, and has a plot simultaneously. The first volume focuses largely on the cute part of the series, but gives you a good introduction to the world. The cast of characters is rich and well developed. The Japanese is easy to understand (I understood it fairly well with just 2 terms of Japanese, and now that I have achieved 3rd year status I understand it basically perfectly) One thing this series does lack is Magical Girl action. You get transformation, you get magic powers, but they don't defeat bad guys. They solve problems to help their friends. This series is aimed at 8 year olds. And if you can't deal with the fluff that entails this isn't the DVD for you. But if you love Magical girls, and charming characters, this is a great buy.

Fushigi Hoshi no Futago Hime Gyu! Vol.8AnimationAnd the Futago coninues....
By now you have probably decided your opinion of Futago Hime Gyu. This volume most certainly won't change it. The episodes aren't bad, but they aren't all that good either. The episodes on it are just more of the same, and are not the most remarkable of those. Still if you have been enjoying GYU, this volume is not a waste of money. There was one episode I liked on it, and will probably watch the whole thing again sometime...

Fushigi Hoshi no Futago Hime Gyu! Vol.10AnimationMore Futago Love
Don't expect this volume to exactly deepen the plot. There was a little bit tacked in, but nothing particularly revolutionary. If you haven't noticed the 2nd season to Futago Hime is relatively plot-less and has just fallen into basic Happy>bad guy comes> defeat>happy again *Repeat* cycle. The only thing that has me still watching is the characters. And in previous volumes, even the character development has been not so good. This volume though had some of the best episodes in a while. They were cute and charming, just like the series is supposed to be.

TV Animation Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) Fan Disc Hinamizawa Jikenroku 1 [Limited Edition]AnimationHigurashi is love but...
I love Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It is one of my favorite animes of all time. That being said, in general I think this fan disk was a waste of money. The only content worthy of watching are the interviews, and even those didn't really enhance my Higurashi Experience. The music video to The Higurashi ABC song was kind of funny, but that was mostly because the song it self is hilarious. The Video was just pieced together scenes from the Onikakushi arc, and is all honesty I have seen amateur AMV makers do a better job with timing. The other big thing was the arc summaries....well I kind of find them pointless. I tried watching the Onikakushi one, but well, it's a summery, thus it lost a lot of the Higurashi goodness. If you're like me and are the kind of person who skips summery episodes in anime, you'll find the Higurashi ones no more worth your time

BEST MAX - THE POWER OF NEW ANIMATION SONGSV.A.Techno remixes galore
I used to be a big fan of this CD series. The fact that I owned the first and third installment to the series should have deterred me more than it did when it came to buying this. If you don't know about this series it's basically techno remixes of, largely just the TV size versions, of popular anime theme songs. The singers are skilled and if you don't hate techno, they can be quite fun to listen to I'm not a huge techno fan, but I do generally like these CDs. This probably a better starter CD then addition to the collection. Most of the series aren't from the most recent of series. I seriously recommend you decipher the track list on the Japanese page so you know what you're getting. The nice thing about this one is that it's divided into 2 disks, the first one has the TV size remixes and the other one has all full length~ I don't think that most of the songs I didn't already know are particularly good though so I only liked maybe a quarter of the tracks.

Tennis no Ohjisama (The Prince of Tennis) - Navigate DVDJapanese Movie (Making)Tenimyu meets the big screen
This DVD is on the making of the live action movie for The Prince of Tennis. It's like an informative behind the scenes extra they throw onto the Tenimyu DVDs occasionally. I think this DVD is better then the movie it self. You more or less see everything worth watching in the movie, and get random shots of the Tenimyu boys which is probably why you are watching this in the first place. Still it is shallow, and isn't nearly as funny. And there is allways the added dissapointment of the Hyotei casting. if you have no interest in the tenimyu boys, and are just a random Prince of Tennis fan, this is not the movie for you.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) Sai Intro Theme: Nageki no MoriAyaneLet the festival begin...
This is the Opening single too Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri the PS2 adaptation of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni games. It contains the songs "Nageki no Mori" and "Complex Image" I love this CD. "Nageki no Mori" is one of my all time favorite songs. It's creepy, catchy, and a vary appropriate theme for Higurashi (and not just because they say "Higurashi ga naku" several times) The other song "Complex Image" is also a very enjoyable song. It is apparently one of the ending songs used in the game. I did not get as addicted to this song, but then I know people who have. All in all this is a very good CD, and worth the price spent on it..

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) Sai Outro Theme: escapekanako ItoUnable to even say "goodbye"
This is the CD that contains two of the ending songs to the PS2 game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri. The two tracks on it are "escape" and "Friend" I love "escape". It's a great song, and fun to listen to over and over again. It fits the feel of the series fairly well too. I'll admit though that I do prefer the theme song to the game. The other song, "friend" is mediocre at best. I really didn't care for it. It's a slow baladish song that is simply unremarkable. I knew that I didn't care for the second song on this CD when I bought it, and still found this a good buy.

Ouran Koko Host Club Vol.9AnimationThe exciting conclusion...
If you've bought all the previous volumes, then you definitely can't pass this up. I personally don't think the conclusion of the series was on par with the heart of the series it self. They introduce a random new character and play through a very predictable story. Still it was well done. It was emotional and exciting while you are watching it. It also gave a fairly good closure to the series considering that the series had no plot, and the manga continues on. This is a must buy for a collector of the Host club DVDs.

Death Note 5AnimationI'm rooting for light~
This is one of the best volumes of Death note. It's suspenseful, thrilling, twisty, has great animation, has great music. Basically it just wins. This is not a DVD that should be bought out of order though. Leaps and bound in plot advancement happen in every episode of this series so, especially if this is your first run through death note.
-
Death Note 7AnimationDeath Note
This is most defiantly a good DVD, But then it is Death note. Like every volume the plot takes leaps and bounds, the animation is solid, and Light is brilliant.... the one thing is, well, Death Note doesn't have infinite replay value once you KNOW what is going to happen next, the series loses it's suspense and thus some of the sparkle that made it so wonderful. This is especially true at this point in the series, the farther Death Note gets the less exciting it is, especially if you know the tricks. Still I do still enjoy the series even though I know all the tricks, and would recommend this DVD to any Death Note fan.

Ouran Koko Host Club Soundtrack & Charasong Shu Part.1 [Limited Edition]AnimationOuran fans rejoice~~
This is one of the best sound tracks I've ever purchased. I think the OST to Ouran is simply brilliant. Especially "TANGO BRILLIANTE FOR ORCHESTRA" The character songs are everything you would expect them to be. Hunny's is cute and fun, and Tamaki's is...well it's called "guilt Beauty Love" need I say more. Mori's was a little unremarkable, though, but it's hard for me to say it doesn't reflect his personality, since well, he doesn't say much, so it's hard to picture what kind of song he would sing in the first place. All in all a Must buy for any Ouran fan.

Tennis no Ohjisama (The Prince of Tennis) Original Video Animation Zenkoku Taikai hen Vol.2AnimationThe matches begin
Volume two of the Tenipuri OVA marks the begining of Seigaku fight to win the Nationals. This volume has two episodes, each of which cover a match from begining to end. The matches, while short, are as engaging as any matches thus far. The first match is Ryoma's and introduces his new move, the Cool Drive, which really exciting. Just as thrilling is the next match of Kawamura and Fuji in doubles two. It's an intense match where Kawamura gets all determined because the nationals are the last time he will play tennis. Most notably however is the unveiling of a fourth triple counter by Fuji. This disk has just the two episodes and hardly just one extra. Like in volume one which has an omake-ish commentary by Mizuki and Yutta. Volume two has an omake-ish-commentary, this time by Sanada and Yanagi Renji. Still the 2 episodes makes up for the lack of interveiws with the voice actors. It's a good volume which has all the action we have become acoustomed to and the promise of more to come. It is well worth the buy.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon Starlights Ryusei DensetsuMusicalGreat buy
This is a good dvd. The musical was entertaining and had good music. I don't speek japanese well so I may have misinturpreted some of it. Basicly it's from when Galaxaia has come to steal everyones star seeds. The twist in this musical is that she revives qeen beryl and the shitenou. With Marina cast as Sailor Moon and Shirota Yu cast as Tuxedo kamen this is a brilliant musical. The extras are nice. Marina and Shirota comment through footage of the making of the musical, and the cutain calls are extras too.

Sailor Mars : Rei Hino (live action series)Rei Hino (Keiko Kitagawa)It's a pretty good CD
This is a generly good single. I enjoyed all the songs on it. Honestly I think Sakura Fubuki is the best song in the series. If you REALLY liked Rei this CD may be worth the buy However i would like to point out that the Complete Song Colection might be a better buy. It has Sakura Fubuki on it along with a bunch of other vocal tracks on it sung by the other senshi. So unless you cant live without the other track, or if you only liked Rei then i recomen that you buy a full album instead. It's a better Value.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon Complete Song CollectionSci-Fi Live ActionGreat CD
I think we all loved the songs sung in the Live Action and this is the CD you want if you did. It has Minako's major songs and at least one song from each of the singles the senshi released. They are all well represented. The closest thing to a downfall this CD has is that the theme song is TV size. You have to buy the single if you want a full version. But this version is still nice because unlike in the single it has the section in it that the Sailor Senshi sing. All in all a great buy, esspecily if you have been craving the songs sung in Live Action, it's also a better value than buying all the singles

Men's DVD Series - Yu Shirota with UYu ShirotaGreat DVD
This DVD is priceless if your a Shirotan fan. You get all sides of him from sexy to hillarious. The kitchen scene alone is enough to make this DVD worth buying. You also get a great scene of him playing a guitar and singing a song he wrote. The only scene that threw me off was the one of him driving, but he even makes that pretty cool. Don't worry if your not too fluent in japanese you can still apriciate this DVD. Theres not all that much talking. It's mainly just Shirotan goodness. I must warn that unless you love Shirota Yuu to peices this DVD will come off as more weird than enjoyable. Still if you do love him you should definetly buy it.
