Salon De ChocolatKayaVery nice, and about time!
It's about time us overseas fans can finally see one of Kaya's lives! I've heard many great things about his shows, but never got to experience one until now. It was all I had expected and more! He has such a presence on stage that draws in the viewer and doesn't let go. Seeing him interact and perform with Sizna of Sugar was also very fun (and hysterical when Sizna had his solos)! The only things I weren't too fond of were his back-up dancers; their choreography seemed very artificial and plastic. Other than that, the audio quality was very nice, Kaya sounding just like he does on his studio CDs (or better). The poster that came with the first press was an awesome addition! It's found its home in a frame on my wall now and I love looking at it everyday when I get home ^_^ Can't wait to see what else Kaya has in store for us in the future! Maybe he could treat us with a DVD of a show with Versailles? *wishful thinking* XD

Schwarzer Sarg [CD+DVD]Yosei TeikokuVery nice!
This is yet another wonderful release from Yousei Teikoku! Even though it's really only two songs (the other two tracks being insturmental versions of the A- and B-sides) and a video, it is well worth the money spent. The whole atmosphere is a very dark one, but Fairy YUI's light, pop-princess-like vocals add another layer of mystique to the songs as well as the PV. I wonder if the consecutive releases are meant to tell a story. If so, this is certainly a great place to start!

ChocolatKayaBeautiful as always from Kaya
This single is simply superb! The title track is such a happy-sounding, upbeat song that makes me want to dance (even though I can't ^^;). The B-side is a bit darker, more fitting for an EBM event or something of that nature. The shining track on this release, however, is the Sweet Verison of "Chocolat"; it's such a bittersweet spin on the original, so sad and melancholy. It makes me picture Kaya in a nursery bathed in moonlight singing softly to a newborn in his arms. The little sob he does at the end chokes me up every time, too. And finally, the last track on the disc is a "Kayaless" version of "Chocolat". It's called that even though there is a bit of singing during the opening verse and a bit later in the song. Again, it makes me want to get up and dance! The synth work stands out a lot more than in the intial version, and makes me pay more attention to the composition of the song itself. Kaya has done another wonderful job on this single, and hopefully we will hear a full-length album from him in the near future; he is far too talented and well-loved to keep surving on singles alone. Kaya, please give us an album! ^^v
